- Why does he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOC, why do you want to join?)
Madiccho has been trying to scrape a living in Orgrimmar since
leaving Suramar. He has heard one or two rumours about a group
of kindred thieves, even going so far as to ask around in the
hopes of attracting their attention. While he's managed to cut
his teeth in the fields of pickpocketing and thieving, he hopes
to delve a bit deeper into the art of larceny, with a view to
pulling off some big, lucrative heists.
I've seen a lot of activity from the Sixty Thieves during my
time on the realm, and their goals seem to most align with
Madiccho's. I was kind of won over by the main post on the realm
forums, making the point that it's a guild of thieves, don't
expect to win and be prepared for the consequences. That's a
great approach. I've also been roleplaying a few different
characters solo and with Madiccho I feel like I've hit on
something I can have a bit of fun with - I haven't been in a
fully active RP guild since WotLK!
- What would their nickname be?
Topaz, if that's not taken?
- How powerful is your character?
He's as spindly as they come. Lot of points in DEX over STR.
He's got a lot to learn but he's driven.
- What's his background like?
Madiccho had a very quiet upbringing. It wasn't until he became
a stylist that he earned a reputation for the inspired and
flamboyant. He eventually reached the lofty heights of a
position as Court Stylist, but his tenancy was shortlived due to
the unfolding events involving the Legion. Soon the court began
to turn on one another, and a jealous noble sought to throw
Madiccho and his family to the wolves in order to guarentee
their own survival. Maybe Madiccho would've done the same, maybe
not. All that's certain is that he lost everything, and after
fleeing to the relative safety of the Horde he has managed to
find some less-than-legal means of feeding himself.
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
Madiccho is in keeping with the established lore. The closest he
strays to breaking it is in claiming he is some distant relative
of Elisande, but the claim is unverifiable and it may be that
he's simply using it to cling to his former nobility.
- "Are you a killer, son?"
He's a lover, not a fighter. That being said, it's uncertain how
he would react if faced with the noble who scorned him and his
family. When court life started taking a turn for the worse, he
got a taste of the backstabbing and violence among the morally
bankrupt. Madiccho hasn't hurt a soul, but could that change
given the right stakes, the right circumstances? Perhaps.
- How do you feel about consequences in RP?
Live and die by them. It's the only way to guarentee any real,
meaningful character progression.
- Any specialities he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
He works wonders with a comb and a pair of scissors. He has a
real eye for silhouettes when it comes to beauty and fashion.
Madiccho's desire for gold is to get him that much closer to the
easy life he used to live, which shows in his love of the finer
things in life.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to write this application!
I have no real questions about your character that can't be left
until the roleplay scene.
Though I must ask. What's your activity like? We don't demand RL
commitments to be adjusted to allow roleplay in the guild to
progress, but we do have an activity rule which asks that if you
know you will be away for a while, to notify us so we are aware
- simple as that!
Topaz is a name ready to be stolen (:

Hiya! Thanks for writing the app and nice to see a Nightborne
out there into the shady world!
As you described he took a large leap from noble status to
nothing. The only thing I'm wondering about is your character's
powerlevel. What do you exactly mean with lots of points in
dexterity? How long did your character started to get by shady
means and is he still new at it and thus not good at fending for
himself yet? He doesn't have to be experienced of course, just
wondering where he is currently standing in terms of power
level.

I can be on most nights of the week, although the length of time
I'll be on each night may vary. I made a mental note of the
caveat regarding activity when I read the forum thread but I
don't have any long absences planned.

If we're going by D&D point distribution, he's like a 10 in
strength and an 18 in DEX. He's nimble and good with his hands,
much of that is due to his work as court stylist requiring a
steady hand but also, during his time in Orgrimmar, he's had to
be quick on his feet during his illicit activities. He's very
much a small time beginner looking to prove himself though, a
lot of enthusiasm with a modicum of talent to back it up.
