Application: Sathrian An'thalan

- Why does he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOC, why do you want to join?)
This is, so far, just an ooc request to join! I remember Sixty
Thieves from way back on Defias Brotherhood and always loved the
concept of the guild. I want to put Sath in a criminal guild
because I think it makes him more interessting as a character.
He's a really nice guy, but he always puts friends and family
first and doesn't care much for the law. Perhaps growing up as a
spoilt noble helped with that. So I think it'd suit him and I'm
really excited to try him in the gang!
ICly he's well aware of the thieves' existance and holds some
respect for them because of how long they've been around, he's
also curious, having heard some stories about them from Oath of
Silver.
All I need is a way to introduce him ICly to the band! (I've
been doing some brainstorming with Dice and have a few ideas!)
- What would their nickname be?
I was hoping to grab the name 'Fox' if it's available!
- How powerful is your character?
He doesn't do any form of magic so he isn't powerful in that
aspect. He's a good archer with a good aim, but he -can- miss.
(It's happened... shh) In close combat he's pretty much
clueless, the swords he carry are mostly for show. Accessories
to his outfit (cough)... He will swing them about if someone
gets too close but he could definitely use some training there.
- What's his background like?
He comes from a noble family of vintners and grew up safe and
spoiled until his life was turned upside-down after the murder
of most of his family. Sathrian, who then didn't know anything
about the world and only knew archery, held onto his bow and
tried to find work anywhere. Since then he's gone far from the
life he used to have, he's spent many years working as a
bartender, involved in some criminal activity, helping out gangs
with information from the bar, until he started to sail and fell
in love with it. He became the First Mate on a ship called Red
Reach, pirates, and sailed with them for some time until the
crew was split up. Right now he's back to looking for work after
doing some bartending at The Merchant's Last Coin in Silvermoon.
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
I always try to follow the lore and I don't think Sathrian's
character or backstory is any problem there.
- "Are you a killer, son?"
Sathrian does not consider himself a killer, he would avoid
violence when he could, he takes no joy in hurting others.
However he's sailed with pirates before, raiding villages, even
if he was rarely in the middle of the fighting. As an archer he
would keep his distance and perhaps it helped him feel less
guilty for the deaths. However he's killed Alliance only, as far
as he knows.
- How do you feel about consequences in RP?
I think there should definately be consequences! I want my
character to act as if what he does could cause real problems,
for him or others, also I have no problem with being punished IC
for something my character did or maybe didn't do but got the
blame for!
- Any specialities he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
Sathrian has a curious personality and likes to learn small
skills he comes across. He's a winemaker from birth but he's
also learned to make tea and a few healing salves and bath oils.
He might jokingly title himself a masseur but he does know what
muscles to knead to relax a tense criminal after a rough day.
Apart from that he's usually charming and able to make people
talk. Perhaps flirt his way to some information or rumors.
- What's your activity like?
I'm pretty active, I love to RP and try to find time for it,
however I work late shifts a lot and weekends, so it might be
hard for me to always show up to things, but I'm online and IC
at least a few days every week.

I know I have no saying in the approval of the app, but I would
like to add some extra information.
As Sath is a good friend of mine, we have been talking about him
joining for a while. For over a month we have been trying to get
Sath in contact with the guild (mainly Fade and Tact), but as a
lot has happend with our guild we always had to postpone our
meeting... until the point that Tact and Fade went on vacation.
We hope that through the rp that still needs to follow (already
carefully planned), Sath has a more solid IC reason to join in.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to write this
application, and your patience! Sorry you had to wait so long -
Me and Thalindor have been on holiday (and still are) so we
haven't had time to comment before now.
The only thing that seems to be lacking is an IC reason to join,
which isn't a problem as we have a short waiting list in terms
of recruitment so you have time to decide why sath tries to join
sixty!
I am sure many questions will be asked during the interview to
sate any questions i may have!
Fox is available also.

Ps. If you need anything else, comment here and Thalindor or I
will respond eventually, otherwise contact our other officers
Einsam and Beladun in-game!

Hello there.
Though what Laerynna has said that it might lack a bit IC reason
to join, that can one hand be easily fixed. The gang don't
recruit people for just finding them interesting, but in fact
have something to offer and wants work.
I have one thing I want to say though. Not that it will fully
affect my approval or decline, but "Apart from that he's usually

some information or rumors."
Being charming, silver tongue and all those names it has, it is
very optional. I of course have yet to RP with you, so perhaps
you are what you say your character is, but please do take this
wisdom from me: Unless you as a person is very good at talking,
don't proclaim that your character is. Since no matter what your
character might be, it is you who breath the life into that
character.
With that aside your character do seem interesting and perhaps
is a very enjoyable being, so please do contact me or Beladun
ingame whether by Whisper or ingame mail, and from there we can
try and create interaction between our characters.

Thanks all ^^ I really look forward to meeting in game!
I've had some issues with my computer breaking down and haven't
been able to be in WoW much, hoping and praying to have it fixed
next week.
