[Application] Tali'syn
By: Nine Date: August 19, 2018, 3:42 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
- Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOC, why do you want to join?)
Tali'syn has always been a thief. He was born in Booty Bay, the
son of a disgraced noble and a lucky whore, both dead by the
time he reached only his second decade. He wants to further
himself within a group, strength in numbers and hopefully make
enough friends that look out for him and he can look out for so
he doesn't have to keep eating scraps!
- What would their nickname be?
He's always had the fun exchange of;
"Oh you're just a street rat, Tal."
"-SHIP-! SHIP RAT!"
So I'd stick with Rat, or Rats, something along those lines!
- How powerful is your character?
Not very. He's scrappy and can try to hold his own, but no
formal training, no magic beyond being able to mana tap and
having a natural affinity for basic arcane, which he doesn't
use. He was never taught to and also doesn't feel the need!
- What's her/his background like?
Fairly simple. He was born on a ship, his father being a
disgraced noble that took to piracy, met a whore and got her
pregnant. She stayed on the ship with his father and ended up
dying in childbirth. His father then drunk himself to death by
the time he was twenty and he remained a deck hand, largely
abused by the crew and treated like scum. The ship, "The Bad
Manner", mysteriously burnt down shortly after he disappeared
from it and he's been seen to wander wherever lowlifes go to
thieve and survive. (A quick link to my AA, gives more detail
sort of on the subject!
HTML https://www.argentarchives.org/node/192126
)
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
Very. I like to think myself very clued up on lore, especially
Blood Elf lore. I've been playing for around ten years now and
I've always kept up to date with everything, it irks me when I
see lore breaking characters!
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
Tal'isyn may be a thief, but he's no murderer. He'll stick to
his morals, no innocent blood spilled.
- How do you feel about consequences in RP?
Consequences are extremely important to me. If my character gets
injured, I expect to play out the consequences of that to the
best of my ability. If something extreme happens, there should
be a reaction. I always take consequences into consideration, I
don't like my character getting stabbed and just being able to
walk it off for example!
- Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
Tal is very good at making friends in a very strange way. He's a
classic 'rougish charm' sort of archetype with a few twists and
turns added to him. It's not uncommon for him to walk up to
someone and insult them, having never met them, almost get into
a fight and then an hour later he's made a friend for life. He's
very personable, surprisingly and doesn't have a hard time at
all making friends and contacts!
In terms of skills, he's a good sneak, very skilled with sleight
of hand and that type of subtlety!
- What's your activity like?
On weekdays I'm on from around 7pm until 11pm, weekends I'm on
pretty much all day and night!

Hey Strider, long time no see (Jho/Athilas). You're not trying
to escape Moonsaei, are you? ;)
On an OOC note I've not much to comment on the app. I suppose it
pays to mention that when we talk the dreaded consequence, we
mean that at some point, you might well end in a situation where
another guild such as the Rotgarde could capture Tal and throw
him in jail. Depending on your RP that might be unlikely, but
sometimes a thief is in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Due to recent events that severely endangered the gang, the
sixties have been roaming the wilderness of the barrens, so
finding our lot might be tricky. However, far as I'm concerned,
you're welcome to come try to stumble on us out there somewhere
(Try whispering Beladun/Einsam in game). If the IC goes well,
you could get an IC interview so you can join as Unmarked.

Hello, thank you very much for putting time into this
application!
The name "Rat" is sadly unavailable :( a long time member has
captured the name for themself! Names that may be associated
with it that you might find interesting, just to note some
suggestions are:
- Wretch
- Mouse
- Weasel
- Rodent
- Critter
- Nine (actually not associated at all, I just noticed that's
your username :D)
Myself and Thalindor are away from the game until the 29th of
this month. Due to this, likelihood of receiving an interview no
more or less limited until our return (because our two officers
have RL busying them in ways, and BFA is the hot priority for
most atm. Please be patient until our return unless an officer
is generous enough to put their time out for it - and if they do
they will say so on this platform or contact you in game, just
as Morduas has said above!)
Any further questions I will leave for IC interaction. Any
questions you may have can be sent here or to Beladun and Einsam
in-game!

'Ello there.
"Tal is very good at making friends in a very strange way. He's

Like the other app, I will not straight up decline, but I have
to say that you should be aware that you can say your character
is anything, but it require you as a person too to be it. Saying
that your character is tough can be made believable, but saying
that your character is charming and can easily make friends is
not something you have full control over.
Of course, I have not RPed with you, so you might be what you
proclaim, but if not, do be prepared that your character might
not be what you say he is right now.
"very skilled with sleight of hand" I might be nitpicky, but
this too will be put on the test. I have no right to say that
you are wrong, but most of our RP is against actual players.
They won't know or might even not consider it. I'm not saying
that it is wrong of you to say your character is good at it, but
it is very possible that such proclaim will be proven wrong
because you will be interacting with a living environment that
won't abide.
Overall the character seems interesting and I do look forward to
experience him.
Whenever you have time, do and try contact me or Beladun ingame
so we can try and create some interaction between our
characters.
