An arcane orb of some sort has been delivered to the Sixty
Thieves. Upon inspecting it closer, a voice emits from it.
Uh..- Oh, it's on, yes? Okay! How do I look? What am I saying?
That doesn't matter, they can't see me!... Or can they? Right!
Still on!
Hello! In the unlikely event the courier is completely
INCOMPETENT!... Ahem, excuse that outburst. In any case, if he
is, i'd rather not give up my name here, badly hidden with a
cough, ahem, it's Castarn, ahem! How do you d..- Right, one way
trip! Stop telling me this i'm aware! No you're not. YES I AM!
Have you heard of Suramar? Recently legion infested rat-nest of
Shal'dorei? Fallen from grace by THAT **** ELISANDE!?!? I will
not blame you, if you have not. Sigh can be heard I suppose it
is for the best anywaaaay... It was not our proudest moment. But
NONETHELESS! We have been most graciously allowed entry into The
Horde, us being my people Shal'dorei, it'll make sense once we
meet, i promise.
Lower as the speaker appears to be arguing with someone else in
the room:
They are NOT imbeciles Claude, how DARE you say that? These
people are supposed to be min..- OUR new friends! Now if you'll
excuse me, i have some more convincing to do.
The speaker returns to the recording orb
Where was I, before i was so RUDELY interrupted... Oh right!
After the henious betrayal in Suramar by THE PEOPLE WHO WERE
SUPPOSED TO PROTECT US! I have... How do I put this without
coming across as a rebellious youth... Lost faith in society.
This whole idea of being ruled by nobles, the elite, whoever can
swing the biggest sword or cast the biggest spell... Nonononono!
NO! I will NOT allow myself to be betrayed again!
Complete silence except for some heavy breathing for around ten
seconds, before a sweet and almost alluring voice returns
But you are not like that, are you? Your leaders value their
underlings, as long as they pull their weight right? Well, fear
not! I will pull my weight tenfold! I am what you Azerothians..-
That's a word right? Well it is now! Call a "Priest" that is
what the Sin'dorei said either way. I don't know... One day in
Suramar I wiggled my fingers and wished for mending and POOF
golden rays mended my pet wyrm Trudou, lovely fellow by the way,
maybe you'll meet him. The Sin'dorei, who are my favorite people
in this new land for the record, told me that is called The
Light. I don't know if I buy into that BUT it works and I have
had many, many years of practise. I can cure diseases, curses,
mend broken bones, close wounds... Need I go on? Basically, ANY
ailment you can think of... Why am I pointing at myself? SHUT
UP! But this guy, Castarn..- No! Not Castarn, that is NOT my
name! But, yes i can fix it.
I could help this newfound society with these abilities, but i'm
sure they can pay someone else to do it, if they really want to.
I want to live outside of society, but that requires gold. You
know who has a lot of gold? What? No, not little green fat man!
SOCIETY! Does it sound fair? I have few skills in thievery, but
if I keep you alive, can I get atleast a small cut of the
profit, just to... Eat? Please?

- Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
The events in Suramar has left Castarn with a deep mistrust for
any society ruled by any form of elite, to the point where he
does not wish to be part of one anymore. He does not care for
such things as being a lowlife, he just needs a steady income
and a group of people he can trust to NOT backstab him.
- What would their nickname be?
I was thinking Balance, as a joke since he is... Well he's just
not.
- How powerful is your character?
He's a Priest. The idea of priests are to uphold the balance
between Light and Shadow. Healing using his own form of the
light, which is Arcane-infused due to him being Shal'dorei. This
Arcane-light is not any stronger than regular light it just
looks strange. He can fight using The Light and some shadow
tricks in a variety of ways, but is best suited to mending
wounds in a peaceful area. If i were to rank him on a scale from
Novice to Master, i'd put him in the middle as an Adept, leaning
towards Expert.
- What's her/his background like?
He was a simple middle-class citizen in Suramar. His entire
family supported Elisande in her decision to ally with the
demons, but he did not. He left his wife and kids, who were
grown ups at the time, behind to join the rebellion. He didn't
take part in any of the real fighting, staying behind to heal
the wounded instead. His background is not that exciting. It was
a quiet life until the rebellion happened, in which he helped
from behind the scenes .
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
As an RPer, I don't know the full detail of all lore, but I know
the basics of most of it and I do try to stick to it, as does my
characters. The only slightly "lorebending" thing with him, I
would say is the Arcane-light, but that is mostly just me
wanting to be a little different than any other priest and
taking this liberty since there is virtually no lore on
Shal'dorei Priests at this time.
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
He can kill, and given his now rather unstable psyke, it is not
out of the question that he will. Never allies though, he
treasures friends and family. But... In battle he may lose his
cool and "purge the wicked!"
- Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
You mean if break the code for instance, right? I've been RPing
for 6 years at this time, and have begun to view it as sort of
an art form. What kind of artist would I be if I did not accept
consequences for my IC ****-ups? Not a very good one. So yes,
The Enforcer can go to town if Castarn steps out of line!
- Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
He used to be a tailor, but his shattered psyke and half-way
splitpersonality along with hallucinations leave little time for
such a fine craft these days. He will often be talking to
himself and behave oddly around others. I like to think of it as
if he is living in his own little bubble, that just happens to
co-exist with Azeroth. He can interact with anyone, but usually
appear distant or otherwise aloof even in one on one
conversations.
- What's your activity like?
High School/College/where ever 19 year olds typically are in the
education system in your country, unfortunately makes it, not
impossible, but improbable that I can stay past 10 PM server
time in the weekdays. However, in the Weekends I tend to be
around to atleast 12 if there is no event and if there is an
event i will attend, if I do not have other plans. (And given my
fear of people, I'm not a partygoer so you'll have me around
quite alot ;) )

Hey, thanks for taking the time to write this application!
Nightborne as a new allied race has been exciting for the guild,
waiting to see who may join, for what reasons, on these new
playable characters.
The only thing that I might be questioning, is the extent of
Castarn's thieving. He sounds like a happily cranky character,
and considering Suramar has been trapped for a dashing 10k
years, no doubt your char is good with medicine. And his intent
is true and fitting! If he intends to join a guild named Sixty
Thieves, that means he's absolutely ready to take on new
skillsets under thieving, right?

In response to Fade:
Yes, of course! Coming from the middle-class household he does
not have any skills in thievery as of yet, but he is open to
acquiring such skills! In the new world of Azeroth he does not
believe a Suramar frame of mind fits in, which is also a factor
in why he has changed as drastically as he has. When it comes to
morals, he has very few due to him harboring no love for The
Horde or any other large faction and having a few screws loose.
It may take some time for him to grasp the finesse of
pickpocketing, but hey, practise makes perfect! :D

Thanks for the response! I'm sure that's a topic Fade and others
will inquire about ICly anyway, but knowing the OOC
possibilities is always a comfort.

Hi! Thanks for writing the app and looking to fly under our wing
;D
I loved the unstableness of the character, reason for joining
icly and the story. Admittedly Im not a hero in priest lore, but
as you stated yourself, the only slightly questionmark I have is
the arcane-light, but it does indeed make sense as a Shal'dorei
to try to find ways to heal through the means of magic. E.g. I
saw someone healing someone with chronomancy once. Should be
able to use the light as well if being a priest is an option in
game mechanics. And what can you do with a lore gap.. So I like
the solution you are thinking to encounter the lore gap.
Another outcast and magic user to the fray? I say
