Application: Shi Peipu

1. Shi has devoted her skills of Lexicography and Archaeology
into helping those who seek shady jobs. She is linked with the
black market and other stolen goods vendors in the veiled star
and can fence stolen wares. She also holds skills in shilling.
Her main skills come in when documents or relics are involved
where she can decipher symbols or ancient texts with relative
ease. Going back to her more solo work she has come to the
realisation of wanting to work alongside a larger organisation
to further her skills and put them to the test in larger
situations to benefit a larger group so by joining the Sixty
Thieves it would enable her to do this. On an OOC level I have
always mentally praised the guild for seeing how collaborative
and creative the guild is and making a character that seems
innocent on the outside but actually takes a more shady approach
to life has proven very interesting as it enabled me to explore
character development in a way I have not done before.
2. Usually Shi Peipu would go by Shi to those who knew her well
but looking at my character and the history of the name I found
out that Shi Pei Pu was an extremely dangerous spy and a Chinese
opera singer so after reading through I felt that 'Opera' would
be a nice name, if I was to think of a meaning on the spot it
would be that Opera is rather hard to understand at a first
glance and this could link with her translating skills of being
able to decipher ancient symbols etc.
3. Shi is not exactly young and poses above average skills as a
mage using the school of frost. Frost magic would most likely be
her last resort if she cannot speak her way out of something
whether it be to fire a spike of ice at someone, freeze them in
place to get away or slow someone down, she has the skill if
needed even if she is reluctant to use it.
4. Shi comes from quite a wealthy background but her brother was
always favoured over her getting 'hand-served' everything
meaning she would spend most of her days outside. She found out
about some thieves among the Jade forest who would sell illegal
relics and weapons and make a lot of money from it so at a young
age Shi would steal things and try and sell them, not exactly
the most successful thing. On her mind she wanted to become
richer than her parents so she could not feel so left out of
having someone favoured over her, she is still quite far off of
being as rich as her parents but she is not exactly scratching
around on the ground for coins either - so in other words she
gets on just fine with the earnings that she has.
5. I follow lore as best as I can, there are sometimes little
gaps in lore that can be filled with logical explanations. The
most I would class as questionable lore is the Lexicography as
words are put into the Oxford dictionary daily so I won't be
using new words like "Man Spreading" "Craptacular" and "Yas"
(Yes these were all added to the oxford dictionary in 2017) but
if there is a new word that would suit a situation or maybe if
she just wants to talk about her Lexicography findings (Mostly
from goblins) with words such as Throw shade she may use it.
6. As stated in 3 Shi rarely uses her powers let alone kill
someone. Killing would be an absolute last resort as her job
does not include killing, otherwise she'd be an assassin. If she
100% has to kill for reasons like a massive betrayal among the
sixty thieves etc. then she will but it would not be a hard
choice.
7. It depends entirely on the situation if it is silly
situations like swearing (Not like she swears anyway) and the
consequence is being hung then of course not but if it is fair
and reasonable then of course, I look at it like real life, you
steal something and get caught, you pay the price - it's as
simple as that. It is then up to the person who caught me to
decide the consequence.
8. As stated in 1 she poses excelling skills in Archaeology and
Lexicography as her two main feats of strength. She is also
rather smart and can quickly decide what to do in a tense
situation. And the main skills she can provide to the Sixty
Thieves is fencing loot, shilling and deciphering etc.
9.This is an alt but I also have characters that link to her in
a way like a Shado-Pan that she has to avoid (Which is currently
in the Silent Vigil) so if I am not on this character I will
either be on that character or another character that I casually
RP around Orgrimmar. So I'd say I can come to 4-6/10 events
depending on what situation I am in.

Hi!
Her skillset are useful for the thieves as we do a lot with
selling our stolen wares and here and there. Sometimes coming
across very old items too. So, she sounds like a good fit! I'm
with Fade, also having some questions but they can be asked IC.
