Application: Saulren "Jackal" Ravenholm

I understand there is a limit on the amount of Blood Elves being
recruited, but I thought I would try my luck and hope for the
best!
- Why does he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
IC: Saulren has always struggled in life, feeling distant from
his family as he has never really achieved anything other than
being an exceptional assassin. He has however recently tried to
turn that around to live a more peaceful life, yet to no avail.
Now, he's just looking for somewhere to fit in and meet new
people, whether they be friends or associates.
OOC: I have interacted in the past with several Sixty Thieves
members whilst on other characters in cities and random zones,
and I have enjoyed every bit of RP.
- What would their nickname be?
Jackal, given to him by his former master, he will refuse to be
called anything else.
- How powerful is your character?
That's to be seen IC, of course not god like, but he's quick and
accurate with his blades and movement and has, in the past,
taken out an entire room of people within seconds, albeit a
small room... ;)
- What's his background like?
He grew up in the military following strict orders, spent many
years after that taking kill contracts before joining an
organization based around just that, killing. He quickly climbed
up in the ranks once his master seen his potential and
eventually lead a small 'elite' team on several missions a
month.
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
I try not to go off track with the lore and typically follow
what's happening currently on WoW, merging that with any RP I am
in should others accept that.
- "Are you a killer, son?"
Does a bear shit in the woods?
- Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
That depends, I accept injuries though I do not accept death for
silly things. I.e, a random Orc approaches and shivs him in the
heart for no reason at all, no motive behind it other than a
random stabbing by an unknown person. (I have seen this happen
frequently on Argent Dawn and find it ridiculous.)
If however, there comes a time where his death is called for and
it is justifiable, then yes, I will accept the death.
- Any specialties he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioral or personality trait that can be considered unique.
He was once a charmer and master if disguise, using his skills
to infiltrate enemy camps or trusted 'circles' to get the job
done. Saulren is a calm man, gentle to those around him which
helps lower ones guard before he strikes.
- What's your activity like?
I am online daily, and unless the wife takes me hostage for
Mythic+ runs, I am generally around RPing.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to write this application!
I'm glad to hear you've had pleasant experiences with us in the
past, and hope there are plenty more to come. As you've pointed
out, we do have an elf cap at the moment, and due to the
desirable thief traits your character has which is similar to
anorher elf already in the guild, I'm going to need to
unfortunately decline this application.
We are at a time in our memberbase where race diversity and
general concept diversity is key to really portraying what this
guild is about, and though I'm happy to see your motivation, we
need to remain aware of the goal we are trying to achieve.
Thanks again for showing interest, and I hope you find another
guild that'll give Saulren what he seeks ICly. If you ever
happen to get eager to join the guild on another race, feel
free. But, regardless - hopefully the guild will cross paths
with you again for RP!
