Application: Verdina Windseeker

Hello, my application for Verdina Wishseeker, a corrupt
Priestess
- Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
Verdina was once a promising disciple, and a eager learner, who
wanted to become one of the best priestesses that ever existed.
Yet through unfavorable turn of events she lost her beloved
friend, and possibly future husband. As she was able to use the
light back then already, even though not in the most effective
ways it left her alone, as she needed it the most. She was
alone, unable to help her bleeding loved one, as he faded away
and died. Even though events like this are tragic and
unfortunate, Verdina couldn't handle the grief and sadness.
Nobody was able to stop her inner wrath to take over, her rage
over the light, and his murderers. Shortly after those that
murdered her loved one were found crucified, their limbs twisted
in the most horrifying way possible, some even say those that
found the bodies went mad afterwards. She made a choice, and
left the city. She learned how to mend wounds without the help
of the light, yet she was still able to use the light to aid
others. For some years now she was wandering through the
eastern kingdom, a hooded priestess, that helped those that
required aid. Yet she was caught stealing, murdering and
deceiving others multiple times. Now, after years of all of this
Verdina doesn't enjoy her traveling anymore. She feels lost, and
looks for a place to maybe continue her doings, while being a
part of a group, and possibly having friends.
(OCC): I want to join your guild as I want a place to "relax"
when Im done raiding (on my main characters) and to enjoy this
beautiful part of wow that is RPing.
- What would their nickname be?
"The lights shadow"
- How powerful is your character?
Verdina is able to use her first aid and medical skills to mend
wounds and aid people. She is most likely able to mend mortal
wounds, as long as they -can- be cured without the use of the
light or other magical sources of healing. Nevertheless she is
also able to use the light to mend wounds, even though she is
not even remotely as skilled with using the light as she is
using none magical healing. Verdina is also able to cause pain,
yet unable to directly "kill" someone. She would end someones
live over a rather long period of time in which she would slowly
but surely cause as much pain needed for her victim to die to
the wounds she caused.
- What's her/his background like?
Verdina was a disciple, and a promising soon to be priestess.
Her mother and grandmother and the women of her family before
them all were priestesses, so it was only natural for her to
become a priestess as well. She had a friend, Thallyndor got
killed, while Verdina was next to him. She tried to help him and
mend his wounds with the light, but the light left her in this
crucial moment. After that she lost her faith in the light,
until she killed those that murdered her beloved one. She took
her time killing them, after afterwards left the city, traveling
the eastern kingdoms while being completely hooded. She aided
those in need, either by healing or causing pain to others, and
after a while she got the name of the "Lights Shadow". The years
passed, and she found herself being bored by all the robbing,
murdering and even helping others by herself. She didn't know
what do do, where to go, until she heard whispers of the Sixty
Thieves. Immediatly she knew that this could be a chance for
her, so she tries to get in contact with them.
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
The character herself knows most of the history of these lands
and past events, as long as it would be canon for her to know
things (She is a educated person). (OOC I also know most of the
lore that surrounds the game, I've been reading a decent amount
of books etc.)
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
Verdina does not care about the life of those that she either
gets told to kill or that threaten her own life. Yet she enjoys
making others suffer more than actually killing them, even
though she will most likely end the life of those she is having
fun with.
- Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
Yes, even as far as "dying" as a consequence of an event. In my
opinion RPing shouldn't stop at consequences that one might not
enjoy, as you can't just say "No" to certain things in RL as
well (and I see RPing as a kind of other life, so I can't hide
from consequences, which doesn't mean I/Verdina can't try to
avoid those.)
- Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
She is an expert in healing others in none magical ways (Light,
mistweaving etc.) and causing extreme pain without causing the
other person to die of it. She knows how much one can take and
what would take them over the edge.
- What's your activity like?
Currently I have a high activity if Im not raiding or working,
yet this might change in the near future, yet I will still have
a rather high activity (I think).

Hey, thanks for taking time to write the application!
Was interesting to read about your character and how she got to
this point in life, especially how she was learning to be a
strong priestess but nowadays relies on other means of mending.
As for a nickname, the thieves usally go for one-worded
nicknames just for convenience sake, and as Shadow is taken,
would Light be fitting or does it lose it's meaning without
shadow beforehand? Have a think! We will too

Ah, I didn't know. I don't think "Light" would fit her that
much, maybe "Mask", as she is hooded all the time. I might need
to rethink the nickname though.

Take your time deciding! Other ones that come to mind are...
- Silhouette
- Eclipse
- Shade
- Gloom
- Ebon
- Sin
- Cloud
- Veil
- Dusk
- Clandestine?
And, this is just for Sixty work. Just because she picks up this
nickname doesn't mean that her other one cannot be of use
either!

Those are really good suggestions, thanks! I think Veil would
actually fit her, or even Cloak?
Anyways, thanks for giving me some more ideas. I think I would
stick to one of those 2 above! :)

Sounds like a interesting character from what I've read, and
someone who knows how to deal with wounds are always welcome!
There is nothing that I really have the need to point out on,
which is a good thing, except this will be a short reply.
Nicknames can be hard to settle with, especially since it will
stick with you for a very long time, but luckily we are here to
help to find one if you are unsure. Fade has given a couple of
good ones as well.
I'm looking forward to see you IC and how your character
actually is. So see you there!
