Application: Akott Wildmane

Akott Wildmane, the Beast of Ashenvale. Druid gone bad. 8)
- Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
During the reign of Garrosh Hellscream Akott was made privy of
the orcish logging efforts in Ashenvale as fighting got more
intense, causing him to have to take notice. The destruction of
the forest home and ravaging of the Night Elf people put him in
a frenzy and he made several ambushes on logging camps, machines
and scout parties, ruthlessly murdering Horde soldiers and
peons.
At first he was able to evade identification for a few weeks.
During this time a bounty was declared on him, and lacking
knowledge of who he was or even his race, the bounty was put on
"The Beast of Ashenvale". When they finally identified him,
though he evaded capture, the Cenarion Circle promptly
excommuniated him for his violent actions, and feeling betrayed
he fled Ashenvale. He has lived as an outcast since then, never
staying on one place too long, and avoiding Horde settlements as
much as he can as his warrant still stands to this day. He seeks
a haven of safety and a family after so many years in solitude,
and harbours a resentment of "the law" as to him it still is
represented by what Garrosh was and the ruthless nature-wrecking
machine he created.
- What would their nickname be?
He found an ironic fondness for his nickname "the Beast of
Ashenvale" as to him it sounded like a compliment. He would like
"Beast" as a nickname for sure.
- How powerful is your character?
He is physically powerful, but he dislikes armour even to his
detriment. He has feral brutishness enough to match two orcs,
but against weapons he is worse off due to his decision to wear
light armour. In other words, he is a tauren, but he cant's
survive a stabbing just as you would expect.
- What's her/his background like?
Akott Wildmane joined the Druids of the Claw and the Cenarion
Circle when druidism was again brought to the attention of the
tauren by Hamuul Runetotem and spent most of his adolescence and
early adult life in communion with animals and the forest. It
reached a point where he shunned returning to civilisation, and
he rarely left Moonglade, slowly stripping him of his
"civilised" mindset. Eventually he would prefer to roam around
as an animal, and at this point he started trekking through
northern Kalimdor for the first time in ages, heeding his
beastly instincts. This led him to Ashenvale during the
Cataclysm, and the rest you know.
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
I try to make it COMPLETELY consistent. If I goof I either try
to change the reasoning of even retcon. If it doesn't conform to
lore I don't do it.
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
He is very apathetic to the idea of killing so he finds it very
easy to take a life, but he doesn't kill other than to protect
animals, the home of animals, or friends.
- Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
Yes absolutely. Consequences are what is fun and makes things
have stakes.
- Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
He is considered a savagekin, and has mastered two animal forms
due to his closeness to nature - cat and bear form. He had to
learn and master his cat form as he became an outcast, and he is
now as subtle as he is brutal. His apathy to taking lives,
coupled with both his shady skills and intimidating size either
as a bear or in his humanoid form makes him different from most
thieves and burglars and he would be more than willing to be an
infiltrator, assassin or enforcer equally.
- What's your activity like?
It is on and off. I truggle with depression so it can really be
all over the place, without a pattern. Sometimes I'm on every
day, sometimes I'm off for weeks. I'd like to say that the
"roaming beast" nature of Akott could account for that ICly
though.
Thank you for your time!
Akott

Hey, thanks for writing the app!
+1 on the nickname Beast, for sure.
Your character sounds powerful - powerful in the sense that,
most of the guilds are simple crooks. We do have a skillful
warlock, though, and having a druid who has mastered forms
wouldn't be bad too. As you said, knife wounds aren't
dismissive, and as long as there is consequences with stretching
your character's power it shouldn't interrupt other people's RP
(interrupt may be a wrong use of word - but I hope you get the
idea!)
When it comes to activity, we just like to know where people
are, how long they roughly plan to be, just so we can take it
into account ICly and know that the person hasn't quit WoW or
something. RL comes first though, always.
And finally, enjoyed the RP.

Like the concept and a decent excuse for a druid to join the
thieves, because I imagine that being quite rare. I was
wondering though, what's your stance on forms? Does he walk
around in his normal Tauren form or does he tend to stay in an
animal form? Not that it wouldn't be possible, but I'd get SWC
flashbacks of purring druids that act like cats all the time
(sorry).
