Richard 'Ricky' Mosswald, salesman and vendor, the fence of your
        dreams.
By: Syringeboy Date: April 1, 2017, 10:46 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       First of all, the form:
       - Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
Look below. (Nails alt, already there yo)
       - What would their nickname be?
       Johnny
       - How powerful is your character?
A whimp. Absolutely useless in any kind of combat scenario.
       - What's her/his background like?
A bankrup salesman looking for profit on the other side of the
       law.
       - How consistent is your character with following the lore?
Not all. Secretly, he is the unknown coinjoined and seperated
twin of Prince Arthas Menethil, true heir to Lordaeron.
       - "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
I point you back at point Nr.3
       - Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
No. I have and will always perform sick matrix dodges, no
matter the scenario. Should the dodge fail for unknown reasons,
I will pull out my hearthstone, drying my tears of defeat in the
       inn afterwards.
       - Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
Lacking the skill of giving up on a customer.
       - What's your activity like?
       Terrible.
So, now that that is done...
Being a salesman through and through Richard traveled all across
the eastern kingdoms in his quest of bringing his wares to the
man. No matter how unwilling a customer is at first, Richard
will do everything in his might to convince them otherwise. He
is the fantasy equivalent of an annoying solicitor ringing your
doorbell at five AM in order to sell you that vacuum cleaner,
basically. Having once traveled to the bay even the green
trademasters of Azeroth had to acknowledge him as an equal in
the matters of sale and scamming, and that actually means
something! He got close to opening his own store in the city of
Lordaeron, but oh shame.. The fateful day where he was about to
open his shop by the catchy name of ' Pleasant Pottery' was
sadly also the day his people fell under the bane of undeath.
Upon regaining his free will again Richard was looking for a new
purpose in life, but why do so when he had one in his previous
       life?
And so he had been struggeling to build his emporium once
again, aiming at the top of the mountain, his ultimate goal :
Surpassing the goblin cartels. Steamwheedle, Bilgewater.. What
are those in comparison to a man with a vision, a man of sheer
undying will? The Mosswald Cartel will rise...
Or so he thought. The competition was simply too strong. He
started from the bottom with nothing, got himself a stand, made
enough profit to sell the stand and get himself far enough up
the ladder to get himself a small store in Orgrimmar. Thieves
had been haunting him, a streak of bad luck. Cat-thieving
employees, urges to pay protection money. Having his store set
on fire once he took up a credit from a local loanshark for
rebuilding, the interest being to great as if he could ever
       repay.
It lead to his first bankrupty, paying the debts by selling
flowerbouqets in Silvermoon, starting all over again. At the
verge of opening yet another store near the crossroads, another
calamity hit the land. The Cataclysm, once more wiping his
efforts off the map. Tears, how many of them would he have shed
       if he only could.
Relentlessy Richard worked to build up what was broken once
more, selling flowers, pottery, slaving away as a lumberjack
and selling the tinder, selling furniture, purchasing and
selling jewlery. Once more he was at the brim of finally opening
his own shop, and so he did. Collaborating with a blacksmith he
befriended Richard opened his very own weaponshop. "Tools of
Mossdestruction" were the letters that were proudly written upon
the banner infront, and it had been going well taking into
account the Burning Legion had been launching a large-scale
invasion at the time. His buisness was running, the cashregister
overflowing with the coins of adventurers, warriors, and the
poor blacksmith almost passed out from exhaustion every day
       after work. I
t went so well now, and Richard was already aiming higher. For
the top of the mountain, the tip of the Iceberg. The cherry on
the cake!Trade Prince Mosswald. But his efforts did not go
unnoticed. A local conglomeration of goblins took note of the
lucrative buisness he was running. They wanted a piece of the
cake aswell, cherry included. They bought off his Richard's
smith. So he found another. They bought that one off aswell. And
again, and again, until he could not possibly keep up, until the
goblins made their final offer. Richard will never forget the
sleazy yellow-toothed smile of the goblins leader as they walked
into his store. His buisness was running dry, and money went
short. "An arms shop without weapons is nothing but a worthless
shack." the goblin chanted, a mook towering behind him, patting
his palm with a dreadful club. " Better sell now, eh?" Richard
had no option. For a ridiculously knocked-down price he HAD to
sell, otherwise his legs and skull would not ever have seen the
light of day again. The hostile takeover was complete.
Again he was left with nothing but a few silver coins in his
pocket. It was not fair, not in the least. Calamities, natural
disasters, criminals.. Destroying his lifework time and time
again. At this day the undead made his resolve to not give in.
Having wandered deep into the forest of Azshara he peered up at
Gallywix' Pleasure palace, swearing an oath to himself. If the
competition was not going to play fair, he won't either. He
would turn to the other side of the law, seek out those who
could help him to rise from the ashes once more. With those
words on his lips he turned around, making his way to Ratchet.
He chose the thieves as his allys in order achieve the new goal
he just set for himself. He would not become Trade Prince, but he
       will be the Trade King.

Hiya! I enjoyed reading his detailled backstory. Well, as for
the form, we all know you and your nice quality of rp'ing on
several characters, each having a nice distinct tone.
It was very interesting to read how he actually moved from an
honest salesman to a fence. As well as having a motivation that
keeps the character going. The only thing I'm wondering about is
if he would enjoy being a business partner with the thieves,
rather than stick with the guild permanently. Mind, I'm only
saying this because I think that could be more beneficial for
certain trader characters. So they have more freedom with their
       business.
Like always for every char, it's a devotion that can't be easily
made and also an extreme one at that. But if the permanent
loyalty is something that Richard thinks is certainly worthwhile
to help him achieve personal goals, then I see the char as a
very good fit. As he is super broke and very down on his luck, I
can certainly imagine this would motivate him into the gang.
So if you think he would be willing to do that, I'd say:
approved! (Just laying out an alternative option here due to the
trading nature of the char! : ))

       Thanks for the review, J-star.
Let me elaborate : Richard is a character who has been beaten
down time and time again, experiencing defeat many times over,
seeing his only way to rise again by seeking help in the arms of
       a criminal organisation.
Given that there are many many bad people around he is not
foolish enough to try and get into 'crime' by himself, since he
just does not have the muscle to handle it, let alone the coin
       to get himself protection.
Accepting the credo of 'everyone has a boss, even the
       Tradeking'.
For him, joining the Sixty is nothing more than a buisness
decision, a deal to archieve his goal by putting the last thing
he has left on the table to bargain : his loyalty for wares to
       sell, protection and prosperity.

Oh, wasn't expecting you to sign up for an alt! Interesting
       though!
I have no questions that can't wait until an interview.
Except-.... Johnny? First Nancy, now Johnny, soon Prince
       William...

       Hiya, Scoot.
I enjoyed reading through the app, including the slightly trolly
form you posted there. If I didn't know you were having a go I
might just have taken it serious.
The story behind your char seems great and is certainly the sort
of sob-story that makes one want to hook up with a band of
       (Rather prestigious) Thieves.
I can't say much apart from: Approved!
       See you in-game ;)

There is not really anything here for me to poke at. Everything
       seems to be in order.
A pleasant read and also a character which is not
       over-complicated.

The nick is up for discussion. I have also been thinking about
       Gates, or maybe Bill?

Hello again, and apologies for a late response.
Everything there was to say seem to have already been
said/asked. Well-written story and an interesting concept -
       let's take this further in-game.
