       Graham A'lora - Application
By: Arlo Date: March 28, 2017, 4:01 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
Graham is a sin'dorei who has spent most of his life travelling
as freelance merc/ assassin. He has returned to Silvermoon to do
business once more, dealing with a trader who stole from some
people a book on herbs. Investigating further, he's come to meet
with a sin'dorei woman known as "Rae". Interested in her
'trades' he wishes to seek work. An experienced killer, trader
and alchemist, Graham seeks a stable company to ally himself
with, and hopefully earn some coin along the way.
OOC - I've returned to Horde RP after a large break of Alliance
side RP, wishing to return to a social active guild that isn't
super strict nor super idle. Found out about this guild, looked
up the link. And hey, I'm interested. I'm curious to see what
the future holds for both IC and OOC.
       What would their nickname be?
Already using "Grey" as an informal title, but that's quite
close to home. No? Something cold, blunt and deadly. "Rifle", or
"Dart". Of course I'm always open to any suggestions and ideas.
       How powerful is your character?
IC he is a trained killer and marksman, whilst professional,
he's no god. He creates custom toxins to be used on his dagger
or in custom darts for his gun. These are possibly his strongest
feat. but are tampered with both IC and OOC to not be OP, such
things as paralysis only work with concentrated doses, with
ingredients hard to come by, this would mean they couldn't be
spammed, and due to a large conc. needed, could only be applied
by a melee tool. Such is one example. As always any constructive
critisism or other advice is welcome.
       What's her/his background like?
I try to avoid anything too complicated to avoid both Lore
issues and "Special Snowflake Syndrome", Graham was raised by
merchants in Silvermoon, left at an early age after thugs killed
his parents. Trained amongst caravans and mercenary groups
across Azeroth to become what he is. However this has also made
him a cold killer, not one to exactly empathise with much.
Though he is not a psychopath. Now returning from travels he
wishes for work and company, and of course, coin.
How consistent is your character with following the lore?
My character is nothing over the top, or at least in my opinion,
a normal blood elf with a mundane history, I don't often push
any lines, the closest I may come to is that in my poisons. For
example, his gun is made to fire both bullets and 'darts' which
contain venoms or toxins. These can vary in effect and whilst I
try to avoid any OPness, the making of them is often left as an
IC but in the background thing, to avoid having to grind for
ingredients, that being said, if it was in the context of a
group which was able to assist in any mini-events for gathering
ingredients, I'd be more than open to change or adjust things.
       "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
If the price is right, morals can be temporarily cast aside.
       Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
       Yes.
Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
He is well versed in trading and alchemy, along with
marksmanship and hand-to-hand combat. His cold personality can
be both a good and bad thing, able to work with tough jobs where
some may not, but also coming across somewhat awkwardly in
       certain social situations.
       What's your activity like?
Most days I'm active for at least an hour or so, usually between
16:00 to 04:00 roughly. I've got an upcoming job that may force
me to RP slightly later, but it's nothing majorly interrupting.
That's about all I can think of, any further inquiries I'm
available both IC and OOC. Feel free to ask me! Take care all,
       Arlo.

       Hey there!
The application itself is well-written, but there are some
things that need to be pointed out. It's stated multiple times
on the application that your character is a killer, and not just
any killer but a professional assassin. The Sixty Thieves are
essentially as the name suggests: thieves, and they avoid
killing at almost any cost. A lot of the thieves still hold a
sense of moral, some more than others, and another (more
objective) reason for the no-kill rule is the considerably
larger amount of attention a pile of bodies gets compared to a
       stolen jewel, for example.
Also as you might've noticed from the other topic on this board
that we're currently capped on blood elves. We like to keep up a
racial diversity in the guild for richer and more colourful RP,
and at the moment we have many active elves in the guild.
You'll probably be able to find a more suitable guild for your
character concept, and I wish you good luck in the search! And
thank you for taking the time to write this application.
       - Tact
