Francis' Mandatory Track Record
DIR By: Ahote
Date: March 11, 2017, 4:25 am
---------------------------------------------------------
- Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
The real question here is: Why would the Sixty want Francis?
Well let me tell you. One of the reasons might be his winning
personality, he'll always find some topic to wow you with, for
example, he would -love- to tell you how "His Rebecca" got the
name she carries on this day, or how he got a hold of the
magnificent ship he owns. It might also be because of his many
talents, including but not limited to an extensive knowledge of
Alchemy, mostly in the field of weaponised use of various
venoms, poisons, hallucinogens, tranquilizers and much, much
more. To you entomologists out there, Francis' fascination with
creepy crawlers might be the selling point, he has a small zoo
worth, right there on his floating home. To those who strayed
from the path, and are looking for the way to salvation, look no
further, Francis knows maps, charts, plans and various other
modes of navigation like no other, taught to him in the Royal
Navy and still very fresh in his not-so-fresh cranium. To answer
your question, at long last, Francis might be broke, very, very
broke.
- What would their nickname be?
Nicknames? What is a nickname?! Francis has the habit of
introducing himself to the fullest of his extent, if you're
lucky, he'll leave out his various (Self granted mostly) titles
and adjectives. It's a concept they'll have to teach him, like
teaching a child not to poop their pantaloons.
- How powerful is your character?
Not very powerful. In fact, a strong child could probably beat
him up in a melee. But he's quite clever and is more of a
planner. If you want to take him down, don't give him notice in
advance, just don't.
- What's her/his background like?
He started out as a rather boring deckhand on a Navy vessel,
back when he was less dead. As soon as it was clear he lacked
any motivation to board an enemy ship with a sword in hand they
put him in the charge of the ship's current navigator, hoping
his presence would be less of a waste and boy were they on the
right track! The charts spoke to him as if they embodied his
long lost father (That's another story entirely, one that will
make even the most brutal of men weep.) and he was soon promoted
to replace Fred, the current navigator, upon his early
retirement, don't play with kegs of black powder kids, and made
the job his goal in life. He studied alchemy in his free time on
shore and on one quite unfortunate night they were ambushed by
The Dark Lady's fleet and Francis met a not so friendly
cannonball up close, taking off his chin in one fell swoop and
catapulting him overboard, into the dark, cold water. He soon
there-after was fished out of the great dark by "The Lady's"
apothecaries and brought into the unlife once more, only to
continue his service on the other side of the fence, at least
for a while. He played his part for a while until the initial
shock of the ressurection had worn off and his senses started to
come back to him, along with a newfound free will, a fresh and
pressing urge to be his own man, his own boss, to tell his own
tale.
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
Very.
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
Not on purpose, no. But science is a fickle beast, and some
things happen, the just do, okay?
- Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
Jawohl!
- Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
Francis is a sea-man. He spent half of his life on the bristling
waters and feels at home on a ship more so than he does on land.
He also talks a little too well, despite his chin not being a
thing in his life anymore. Hurray for necromancy!
- What's your activity like?
*whistles as he walks away.*

Enjoyed reading the app! :> Undeads might be plagued by the
constant confrontation of being a corpse, but you've got to
admit, the extra room for skillsets because of it, are big
pro's. I do wonder how he came to be super broke despite having
a large skillset and a ship. And also how ''the urge to be his
own man, his own boss'' will be tied in with the oath to never
leave the gang and obey superiors. But I assume you've covered
that + motivation and likely to be filled out ICly soon.
Furthermore, having experienced your rp quality on a widely
coloured variety of characters, I don't see any issues, so on
that note: approved!

Hello and welcome back to the game once more!
Nicely written application as always. Aside from what Junkie
already stated above, I was wondering about him owning a ship
(as mentioned in the app) - is he currently acting as a captain
for a crew, or is the 'ship' of such size that he can sail and
manage it on his own? I just figured that having a big ship and
crew constantly at the gang's disposal might make certain things
a little too easy. And also, I assume you wrote the application
with the mindset that this guy will be replacing Gluttony?
Anyway, safe to say approved even before hearing your response
to the questions above, you being you.

The ship itself is of an average size but let us say that he's
not the greatest when it comes to managing his finances, as for
the crew.. Well.. Stay tuned, yeah?
He is in no way able to sail it by his lonesome, at least not in
a very productive manner, and even his clever upgrades (real
pulley systems for the sails, anchors, etc..) Make it barely
manageable.
I'll be fleshing him out icly, since he is still very new. I
have a solid base upon which to build, but with all things I
have done rp wise so far, I have always enjoyed a steady growth,
come up with backstory and information about him on the spot. It
keeps me on my feet and the information tends to stick a whole
lot better.
As always, I'd be more than happy to answer any more of your
burning questions, to an extend, his sex life is none of your
buisness, for now.

You are on Fade's, "If-I-killed-it'd-be-you" list right now, so
some real persuasion will need showing to her that he's right
for the gang, but that'll just be a fun challenge IC!
That said, Fade'll likely really desire him to have a mockingly
suiting nickname due to the ship-troubles he caused.
