Daxters' application
By: Wincko Date: October 15, 2016, 6:53 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
Daxter is a goblin who came from the dirty low end his entire
life. Although later in adulthood, he established himself a
business alongside a few businesspartners, who all either quit
or were wiped out. At the end of it, Daxter went solo with his
own customers, and have been making a stable income ever since.
When Legion dropped, Daxter lost a few customers and business
became hard, so he needed a new form of secure payment. Hence
why he wants to help out the Sixty Thieves with his skills.
- What would their nickname be?
Daxters nickname would be Smokes.
- How powerful is your character?
Daxter is able to conjure small fireballs, aswell as a few other
magey things, however he is not fully trained, so not THAT
powerful.
- What's her/his background like?
Daxter grew up with his brother in Booty Bay. Their parents died
when the two were young, and they joined a small-time crew
aboard a ship, where they each filled out a role. Daxter became
quite effecient at his task, which was being in charge of the
economy aboard the ship, that he got a job in the local bank.
A few months later, as he was doing his daily job as a teller, a
blood elf noticed something strange about Daxter. He lured the
goblin with money to join him back on Dalaran, where he would
take Daxter as a mages' apprentice for a few years, until he
eventually gave up. Daxter was too restless and bored with the
subject, but became adept nontheless.
He turned to a life of crime the second day he was in the
underbelly, getting a large influence on the market within his
first weeks. Although pressured by a large amount of people,
Daxter faked is own death and went of the name "Smokey" for a
while.
The connections he had gotten in the underbelly stayed with him
- and he inevitably became the go-to smuggler or stock-breaker,
if people had anything they wanted doing.
After the Legion returned to Azeroth, Daxter lost a large amount
of customers in Ratchet, Gadgetzan, Aszhara and Undercity, so he
went back to Booty Bay to start up again.
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
Daxter does nothing lore related, but should he do something, he
would follow the lore.
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
Daxter has only killed four times. Two of them were his own
competitors, one was a thief, and the fourth one was his rival.
- Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
Yep. No doubt.
- Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
Skills mentioned above.
- What's your activity like?
I play WoW every few days, probably four-five times a week.

Hello, and thanks for applying!
Judging by the application and the brief RP, your character
seems like a good fit for a thieves' guild. Also, I know that at
least Witch vouches for you, so there's that.
Magicians are also something we get a bit less, so Daxter would
probably bring certain kind of variety into the guild's
roleplay. Him being fairly untrained in magic also makes things
easier for us in the sense that we should not need to worry
about OPness or anything of the like. Archmages, Grand Master
Warlocks and so on do not have a place in a lowly criminal
guild, after all, and another reason we like to keep things
down-to-earth is the fact roleplay becomes boring when
everything can be solved via magic.
This one gets my approval.
