Talysandre Sungloss - application

Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
ICly: Talysandre is an adventurous young lady who likes to
experience new things. She's never been a typical Sin'dorei who
enjoys luxury and pompous life, Taly realized she doesn't fit
that kind of life. She is a trader and a smuggler, willing to go
on various adventures to earn a decent amount of money.
OOC reason: I found this guild's page on Argent Archives and the
concept has interested me. I thought it would be nice to be a
part of the guild that is focused more on criminal RP rather
than military one.
What would their nickname be?
Taly, a shortened version of her name. However I will accept any
other nickname.
How powerful is your character?
Not really powerful. She may protect herself, but she would
struggle with it.
What's her/his background like?
She was born in Fairbreeze Village in rather 'fortunate' family.
Her mother wanted her to be a lady of great manners and dolled -
up look, but Talysandre didn't enjoy it at all. Taly was one of
the most adventurous children around. Thanks to her uncle, she
has chosen the path of trader in her teenage years. Later on,
one of her friends has interested her in smuggling exotic goods.
Seeing as she can make a profit by doing so, Talysandre does it
till this day, travelling around, trading goods with members of
both factions.
How consistent is your character with following the lore?
I try not to break it.
"Are you a killer, son/lass?"
Nope, Talysandre hasn't killed anyone in her life.
Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
Yes, I do. Action = reaction.
Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
She is very outgoing and open - minded, that makes her seal the
deal with other traders. It's really hard to make her angry, her
mentality is in the perfect balance and harmony.
What's your activity like?
I'm active, especially during the weekends. I am a student, so
my weekdays activity is limited to 1 hour or so, no more than 3
hours a day.

Thank you for applying and taking time to write this!
If you can think of any short words that describe her, it would
be a preferred nickname as it'll dissociate her 'criminal
identity' to her true self. Otherwise we can throw names at you
when we meet ICly!
What sorts of things does she smuggle? And what would make her
'turn to the dark side' rather than find herself a merchant
guild to travel and trade with?

Hmm...I guess you can call her Dollie (quite silly, I know)
She is in rather close relations with a sly Draenei woman who is
a drug dealer and a mercenary. Talysandre may buy illegal
substances for her then distribute them in Orgrimmar, for
example.
She smuggles exotic goods like expensive alcoholic drinks, rare
pets and high quality clothes. All these items have been aquired
in more or less illegal ways, being stolen or looted from dead
bodies (not killed by Talysandre, though).

Hello, and thank you for applying even if the odds (The forums)
were against you.
A short application, but that's not a bad thing.
In a way she does seem like she would fit in rather well, she's
certainly on the right path with what she does.
That nickname isn't silly at all, after all, I am a Tauren
named Beef. (Now that's silly.) It would work rather well.
In any way, I can't think of any more questions and will await
my colleagues' instead.
In any case, I will approve for now.

Can get one of our members to suggest Dolly/ie if you want,
unless she would suggest that for herself (just thinking about
how she disliked the lifestyle her mother wanted for her. If the
members catch onto that, one of 'em might mockingly suggest
Dolly. Your choice!)
Ah alright! Illegal smuggling business going on would be helpful
to the Sixties.

A trader character, very nice! Travelling is certainly what we
do. As well as trading in illegal goods. Seeing your second
comment, standing on the unlawful side while not killing seems
not to be an issue so: Approved from me.

Hello and thanks for the interest!
A brief application, and although nothing looks to be 'out of
place' it would be nice to have some more flesh around the
bones. We're currently dangerously close to an elf-cap in the
guild (to maintain racial variety for richer RP), so we'd like
to know what makes your character different and special from
others.
A few questions spring to mind; where do her morals lie? I
assume she's consciously smuggling questionably acquired goods -
considering this is an application for a criminal guild, but how
does she feel about that, and why? What's taken her down to
illegal business rather than sticking to the good side of the
law? What're her aims, goals? Another thing to keep in mind is
that should she become a part of the gang, she'll be expected to
do more than just smuggling or trading, too - partaking in
missions, heists, and so on. Although the aim is to try and put
people to the kind of work they're the most familiar with, this
can't always be met. Is there anything else she'd be able to do?
ICly she'll be needing to be able to impress the leaders of the
gang.
We also got special policies for paladins. I noticed your
character is one OOCly, but does that extend to who she is
in-game?
And lastly; is this character a fresh one and thus more or less
a work-in-progress, or does Talysandre already have a background
in actual roleplay?

Illegal business has always fascinated her, besides that she
figured out she may earn more gold by doing that. Talysandre has
no moral problems with smuggling, money is money and she is
mainly focused on getting more and more gold to spend on her
needs and things by which she'd "treat herself".
Her aims: to be rich. Everyone dreams of having endless fortune
after all! That would certainly give her satisfaction, because
her hard work paid off.
Talysandre is alright with doing things from beyond her
"specialization", although she wouldn't kill anyone (unless she
has to in order to protect herself and/or her friend, for
example). Taly is pretty, so she may use her beauty to charm the
victim then steal goods from him...or her.
Talysandre is not a Paladin ICly. She has a feeling that there
is something "greater", but she doesn't practice such ways.
I've made her a month ago or so. It isn't my first Horde RP
character or RP character in general. I know how to RP properly,
learned it on the Alliance side on which I roleplay daily. if
Talysandre got accepted into the guild, I would definitely pay
more attention to her.

Hey, thanks for answering and sorry for delay.
Is your character in Booty Bay right now / able to be? As that
is where Sixty Thieves are. I think it will be suitable to meet
in RP and see if your character can win our hearts. Feel free to
poke for RP when you are ready!
