- Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?
We’ll for many reasons. For reputation, gold, fortune, company,
and to make a comeback into the criminal underworld. He has been
laying low for many reasons, and wishes to find a place where he
can do just that and still earn a fair share of coin. Maybe find
people who will truly have his back.
- What would their nickname be? -
His name is Ruhnark Foulgrin - So Grin would be a good choice,
as your guild leader Thalindor pointed out for me hehe!
- How powerful is your character?
That depends really, he has a long ass story and had quite his
share of harsh living, fighting and all that comes with the life
of a “roguish” type of person. - Though I usually always scale
him to what guild I am in, what I am doing and if I am playing
high or low key sort of rp. And who I am roleplaying with
aswell.
I prefer to roleplay with people, and not against them. I like
to see roleplay as a sort of dance, it can be gentle like cheek
to cheek or rough and crazy like a mosh pit, but the most
important thing is you do it together and with each other, and
not against. Or else that way you usually end up dancing alone
or throwing your dance partner totally off, which work against
the goals of both, to have a good time.
Details about his “abilities” I will put in background story and
personal traits/skills. But it should ALL be taken with a grain
of salt, as in that it can be down played or rewritten or even
forgotten over time. It’s not like he is getting younger.
This is a comeback and a rehash of a character, so there are
things that may change or be down played to fit the style of the
rp or guild I am in.
- What's her/his background like?
Well sit down, because this will be a long ride, and if you
already sit down, then rise and sit down again for the heck of
it, and there is no easy way of telling his story in a short
version, but I will try to sketch out the most important details
in this background story.
But I have to make something clear, this character was
originally from a private roleplay server named Prologue, and he
had his debut there. And a lot of stuff has been retconned or
modified for Legion. Do take heed that some things may be
changed or tweaked according to roleplay style, and guild aswell
to match the theme of it.
This character was made to be able to join nearly any guild or
event. And this will be the first time I truly rp him for real
in WoW Legion, and its actually his true debut on the official
servers.
So here it goes.
I advise lissening to this theme while reading the story though!

Background story:
Ruhnark Foulgrin, was born into the Blackrock Clan. And to be
more specific, the Blacktooth Grin at that. He was not the
strongest or biggest of his kind, not that it bothered him too
much. At a young age he became a part of a smaller group within
the clan known as the Flayedgrin, who was made out of orcs who
had a shadier approach to life and warfare. They were neither
the strongest, or greatest warriors. But what they lacked in
that, they made up for in cunning and cruelty. So much that they
earned their place, and had a reputation as types you don’t
won’t to cross, but fear also grows mistrust. It didn’t help
that they were known for flaying their enemies alive and
skinning them for purpose of equipment and other foul purposes.
Fear kept them in control and fear kept them from harm’s way, it
didn’t matter if they could actually kill the others, if they
just made them fear them it would keep them alive. It would also
be at this time he would be given the name Foulgrin. His
disturbing grins, when the battle was heated and when he truly
felt challenged or heated was he was known for. It both inspired
and creeped fear into the bones of those who would face him or
put him up to a challenge.
When the second war came, they were used as scouts and
assassins, and most knowingly man hunters. Tracking down and
flaying humans and who ever opposed the old hordes and the
clan’s wrath. They also served as treasure hunters and thieves,
acquiring objects of importance and general loot to fuel the
clans purpose, aswell as raiding and ransacking villages. But
they preferred a stealthier approach to it, not taking more risk
than necessary, unless fear and reputation needed a fuel for
nightmares.
When Gul’dan chose to betray Doomhammer, the Blacktooth grin was
send to the Broken Isles, and so they began a long campaign of
sea raiding and hunting down Gul’dan, but we all know that story
didn’t go too well. The things Ruhnark saw and experience on the
isles, really stuck with him. He would be plagued by the
nightmare fuel that resides of the isles. And the horrible truth
behind demons and their ilk.
When his clan returned from sea, they took place within the
Blackrock mountains, and his home became the lower Blackrock
Spire, even though he was a Blacktooth grin, he wasn’t regarded
highly enough to be a part of the upper sire. In the slums and
underbelly of the spire he would become a part of a gang, that
ruled the black markets and life in the deep down in the depths.
A lot of those people where old Flayedgrin too.
He became what is known as a depths crawler. Taking to the
depths of Blackrock in search of treasure and fortune,
scavenging whatever would be of value, and fighting the dark
iron threat off. Aswell stealing their gadgets and knowledge if
possible. Due to his shorter posture at that age, he fitted well
for this job. And one day he came across something interesting,
a valued object. An old rusty flintlock pistoled forged by the
Dark Irons, but something that was truly rare and hard to find.
When he came back, his Taskmaster asked for a tenth of his loot,
as that is granted by degreed. But the Taskmaster became greedy
wanted the device he had found. But Ruhnark refused, he knew
that this object was worth tons and they came into a scrabble.
Ruhnark unwillingly to give what he has risked his hide for,
then chose to murder his Taskmaster is such a horrible, yet
hilarious fashion that he escaped being sentence to certain
death. Instead he was sent off to the Scarshield Legions
punishment group, known as the frontlines and the criminals.
Those who have lost honor, or committed crimes that would
usually mean death. But the shortage of warriors, to fuel the
“long lost second war” that they still live in the illusion of
is still on, they had to keep some alive to fight that war.
He was sent out to the frontlines, slowly earning his boots and
honor back as he flayed and stole, raided and what was needed of
him to earn back his “honor” and “freedom”, boots. Which was
another word for belongings, most weren’t allowed to wear boots
and where forced to fight in rags, as punishment for the lowest
of scums. He became known for his flaying and skinning skills,
aswell his knowledge of deadly herbs and understanding of the
darker arts of fighting and dirty tricks. But he also grew ever
so aware of their slavery to the black dragon flight and their
empty promises of power that, was not that greater of that of
the demons.
One of the jobs that helped him greatly towards an end in this
punishment group, was when he was tasked to infiltrate a smaller
human settlement. Legends of the art of a spymaster has been
rumored and he was tasked to try these arts upon himself, as his
skills was acknowledged. Through alchemy concoctions and old
relics, used by for rituals he managed by help and training by
other superiors. He sought the knowledge of being able to
disguise himself as another person, but there would be flaws and
strain to the person doing it, only true spy masters would be
able to truly master this skill, he wasn’t amongst them, but he
did well regardless. He manages to kill the head of the town,
pose as him and slowly run the city into ruin, along with help
of other spies of the Blackrock clan.
His impatience for politics of the human kind and such would
soon get to him, and he had to execute the plan prematurely. His
thrill for a good hunt, and the waiting game wasn’t really a
problem, but the constant nagging from these pink skins and the
pressure the alchemy put on him was too much, that day he nearly
died from an outburst he had. But was saved by a warlock’s magi,
and he still carries the scar from that day and the mark
warlocks ruinous magic has left on his body. Someday who knows
if this warlock requires a favor of him, but what strains his
mind greatly is he can’t remember, if the warlock was even a
Blackrock, the loos of blood and near death experience has
strained his memory on this event. Ruhnark wasn’t assign to this
kind of task again, but due to the success of this task, even
though ending prematurely was enough to earn him just enough to
get his shackles “opened”.
He still carries the remedies and alchemy concoctions around,
though their expensive cost and rare material, makes it
something he rarely uses and the risk of the potions simply
wearing off or the doses make it a great risk. Relics or magical
artifacts can be used to prolong these effects, but also make
them unstable depending on the magic.
He himself, does not process affinity for magic or that kind,
but he knows stuff about alchemy in a narrow field fitting for
his skills. He knows about the arts of shadow magic that some
other of his profession takes up, though mostly that is
knowledge and not something he practically uses.
Side note to shadow magic: Usually this part of him I down play
a lot, and matches to the guild/rp I am doing. If he is cable of
doing shadow magic of the roguish sort, it would be weak and not
his strong field and I am not sure I would even use that on him,
or if he is even cable of it. His abilities suit more towards
“Outlaw/Assassination” kind of rogue’s power wise.
How and when is unclear, but one day he came into contact with
an orc from the new horde, one who served the Shattered Hand. He
had Ruhnark cornered, but instead of ending him right there, he
asked Ruhnark, to serve as a spy and infiltrator for the
Shattered hand, and he would accept, he knew that he longed for
freedom and he longed for a purpose, and an escape from his
wretched living. A Blackrock such as himself, and a Blacktooth
grin at that, possess information and access no new horde orc
would easily come by.
But what the Shattered hand didn’t knew, was that he was betting
on both horses, and so he became a double agent. He would serve
like that to this day forth and still do, but more was to
happen. He would use this to get further and further into the
world, traveling to places such as booty bay and ratchet.
Working with cartels and gangs aswell, using his various skills
for jobs such as following: Assassination, Thievery,
Infiltrations, Bounty hunting and Manhunts and you name it, he
is sort of a jack of all trades at that.
Through that line of work, he also sailed with the Blackwater
raiders, and fighting off the Bloodsail Buccaneers, and the
Shattered hand had great interest in rooting out the Bloodsail
aswell. He traveled the world and saw many a thing, on his
travels and where ever the jobs led him. Though he would always
return to Blackrock to report and aswell make sure his gang
still had his back or and make use of the black-market floating
down there.
Even the Ravenholdt took note of his work, and he would work
with them, but it was unclear if he was ever a member or simply
a “business” partner. But he was never anything big, there
either.
Then came the day that Garrosh invited the Blackrock clan into
Orgrimmar, and he followed along, this was a great opportunity
to serve both sides information and expanding his field of
operation. And we all know how that went down, he was sold by
Garrosh idealism and promises. He could see himself as a part of
this. But in the end, it went down to survival. He chose that
this was not his path or destiny; this is not how it ends. The
Shattered Hand after Garrosh fall, was in harvoc between
loyalist of Garrosh and the others Vol’jin, it went to hell to
say the least. And he chose to return to Blackrock Mountain. But
soon the Iron Horde would force themselves into the mountain,
and the structure went crazy there too. Even though he holds
place on both side of the coin, he knew it was all slipping and
he could feel a fear of being out of control.
And so he went to Draenor, to the world that had invaded his old
“home”, and to see what these Blackrocks truly where cable of.
He saw greatness, but he also saw ruin. He chose to work yet
again to bet on both sides of the coin, serving both the
Shattered Hand and the Blackrocks. Slowly infiltrating this Iron
Horde, but he at times doubted what side he should support. But
in the end he decides on going against the Iron Horde, that
threaten freedom and his chance at a life where he could do as
he please, he knew the Iron Horde meant servitude yet again, and
he wasn’t going down that path again.
He would soon return to the old world of his, he would meet old
pals and working partners, and soon they formed the Dusk
Slithers. A group of Mercenaries, Thieves, Assassins, Thugs,
Bodyguards, Bounty Hunters, Manhunters you name it! With the
help of the goblin cartels surrounding Rachet and Booty bay,
they would prosper for a while. How this group work was rather
tricky. There was a face outwards, a contact that would take
orders from clients and make the official paperwork and
contracts, and make the deal happen. He would also make sure to
pick the best suited for the task and ask the headmasters of on
their thoughts. If they were unable to assign the right for the
job, it would end up on the bill board, and it was first to sign
contract got served after that. Two rules were kept, and hold in
high regard. Agreements are kept and contracts are met.
"All that is good has been built on the bodies of the fallen. If
we are to be killers, then let us also be architects." So spoke
the headmasters on the founding day.
The punishment for failure was high and the cost dearly, so no
one would never take upon a task they weren’t suited for. And
all would pay a tenth to the group, to make sure they could pay
for information and get the right contacts and jobs. They would
lean more towards the horde faction wise and neutral. They did a
few dealing with the Alliance but kept it low key, and would
mostly only do this if it worked in the hordes favor or against
the alliance later. - Generally it wasn’t there preferred client
or a client they sought greatly.
Sadly, this would not work as well as excepted, the sheer number
of other groups would have had the same goals would soon make
this life hard, and when the Legion invaded, it all went to pure
hell. Old clients and members dying left and right, many would
flee, hide or even turn against former buddies in hope of better
days, some going as far to accept the sway of the Legion. The
billboard request became increasingly dangerous, and even
impossible do to this, and the risks that was asked to be taken
increased tenfold. The hell that the Legions invasion caused,
was too great a blow to this group, and they had to go
underground, they had to keep only a few contacts running,
members of Legion had too infiltrated their ranks, on a lower
scale. And they had to keep only the most valued members close.
They had to rethink their lives, was the world really going to
end?
Ruhnark would soon give in to despair of seeing old friends and
those he saw as the best of the best, become nothing more than
mad dogs, biting away at the world as it where slowly dying.
Some would even kill each other for the jobs and work. Or as
mentioned before, fall to the dark ruinous powers of the Legion.
Ruhnark would start drinking, more than he usually did. The few
jobs he took only got him so far, and the drinking got worse. He
started not caring, he would get fat and lazy living in old
dreams in his past and his old glory, the only ones he truly
trusted had gone utterly mad or was gone in hiding. It was
simply enough, he was not in control and soon, he didn’t care
anymore.
He would roam the taverns and brothels, like a sought escape for
some peace of mind, and to do what he felt like for once, giving
in to urges of many kinds. And the world would slowly forget
him, at least so he though or would like to think.
He didn’t know if the world would end or not, but he would go
out drinking and swinging if that’s what it meant. His
reputation suffered ever so slightly by his behavior, just
enough to make him rethink his whole life. What if there was an
easier life, or choice for something else or greater. His
behavior where being noted, and he knew it was just a matter a
time before either his past or his drinking would get him
killed, if it already hasn’t.
The Shattered hand and Ravenholdt, along with other groups had
send messages out to people who may have information about the
Broken Isles. Searching for trackers and pathfinders, who could
come with crucial information or guide people into these
uncharted lands. But he didn’t answer, he still remembers the
haunting memories of these isles and what terror they would
hold, not to mention that it had become a killing floor as of
late.
Was this his last chance? Where their other choices? He knew he
had to do something soon.
As he roamed the streets of Rachet and Booty Bay, he would hear
rumors about this band of thieves, feared and known for their
skills and work, yet they had each other back. Their where
finally honor amongst thieves once more, and he thought to
himself.
Is this how my back stays clear? Is this it? Plunder the world
as it goes down? Heck why not, maybe this will be how my story
ends or start once more. If I lay low, maybe they won’t come to
get me, maybe they won’t force me upon those isles maybe, this
is my chance for a life in a world that is slowly dying.
To past glory and too new he said to himself, drinking to the
memory of his life and those who had lost it. The question is,
will he succeed in escaping his past or will he return to those
damn isles and meet his end or become the hero he never sought
or wanted to be.
I survive, that is what I do. I keep my agreements and meet my
contracts. But I survive, this what I do, and survive I shall.
Even if it means being nothing more than vulture in this dying
world.
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
I prefer to keep him as close and proper to the lore as
possible, though the lore is ever changing I really would like
him to stay like that, as in close to the lore. - He is
currently a work in progress, seeing it’s a revamp/revival of an
old Prologue private roleplay server character.
Which means I am rewriting a lot of stuff and aswell adjusting
to the lore within the current version of wow which is Legion. -
So he will be sort of “fresh” in a sense, and I am willing to
reconsider and change parts for the sake of guild, if I see a
good reason to. Of course there are some fundamental things
about him that I prefer not to change so on.
My experience with roleplay in general is about 17 years. I
started roleplaying back in TBC and had some experience running
and being part of bigger guilds. I started on Moonglade, but
moved to Argent Dawn at the end of TBC or so. With a good friend
of mine, known as the character Rharmok I created the Moklohn
Command, roleplaying a character named Wirgulf myself.
Since then I have been various smaller guilds and tried making
all sort of projects. Dusk Slithers was a project that never got
about to work, but it was meant to run on in game gold and a
billboard mod called Bounty hunter. Sadly we didn’t succeed due
to lack of time and interest for the project. - More can be read
about it in Ruhnarks background story :)
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
He is and was of the worst kind, and done tons of it. He even
finds it thrilling, doing a good kill and doing it right. To him
killing is as natural as kodo poopting, he sees it as a part of
life, it is a kill or be killed world.
But he is not obsessed with it, and he can lay it low. He always
puts the job before himself, and his needs. He takes great pride
and honor in his work and the tasks he takes upon him. -
Agreements are kept, and contracts are met, failure to him is
dishonor that he strives not to have. - But he is not an
honorable person really, just in that case he really strives to
keep his reputation and line of work as flawless as possible.
Though he hasn’t killed in a while now, is sort of laying low
for many reasons.
- Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
Yes, I do, greatly actually. Though death depends on what
purpose it suits and if it will benefit the story. I always have
preferred playing roleplay with consequences. Without that it
would get really old fast to be a criminal.
- Any specialties s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
Well, he certainly has and many. He has a general wide set of
skills, fitting under a rogue’s line of work. Aswell as some
unique personality traits.
Outlaw/Assassination would be within his skillset if you look at
it mechanic wise and what he “ability” wise is cable of. But I
usually scale after the other I rp with and what is reasonable
and what is OP.
In the past as written in my background story, he prosed mild
spymaster training. He still has access to potions and
concoction of the alchemy kind that can make one change shape
and form, though the risks and the costs are great. - This part
I usually play low key, and usually do this through alchemist
rituals or with the help of a magical user to empower relics
that could prolong or worsen the process, to involve others in
it. - Normally spymasters can do this 100% solo, but I like to
keep it low key and not overdo it. He is cable of doing it
himself, but only for small spans of time, and with risks/flaws.
Like the disguise never get 100% perfects, or may miss a detail
or two.
As for behavior and personality. He is usually very laid back,
cold and calculated, he doesn’t like raging, he doesn’t let his
emotion control him usually, and he tries his best not to. What
he fears most is not being in control or loosening his freedom
completely. - Though I will say that the term freedom can differ
from situation to situation. If it serves a purpose, serving is
possible, for a cause.
Well there is a reason and a story behind why he is called
Foulgrin. It is his most known trait mark. When he flashes that
foul grin of his, you know it’s on, it is game on. It usually
happens either in fighting situations, challenges that thrills
him, or the intend to either harm or admire someone truly. It is
his way of showing, that now we are talking and this is truly
the most game on expression he shows when it truly is going
down.
It was in his time within the Flayedgrin he got this name, do to
this behavior.
At times he does have this random burst of energy, and lust for
either action or some kind of challenge in his life, which is
the result of holding his head clear all time or being plagued
by the past, and the stress that comes with a life like his. He
can become rowdy, loud, and drunk at times. Sort of typical
sailor behavior. This behavior however, was also something did
in old times of war servitude. He was known for his foul mouth
and insane remarks. He would often come with random attempts at
demoralizing his enemy’s with rants and craziness, only a sailor
or mentally unstable person could think up.
He learned aswell that being cold outwards and too contempt
about showing emotions would mean, that people would suspect
stuff or be creeped out. And when the ale flows so does the
truths, and that is his way of getting information too, and
aswell getting under the skin of either companions or potential
targets.
And for reasons, he does at times find himself conflicted about
who he really is, and at times even shift behavior or morals.
But as said, agreements are kept and contracts are met. Unless
he is infiltrating someone, in this case, he doesn’t or does he?
- Nah, I prefer not doing so unless agreed upon or somehow
talked about, for the simple reason of drama/problems it could
make OOCly, so I refrain from that sort of behavior unless the
rp really calls for it and the people OOCly finds it fair.
I am a quite honest person and forward OOCly, so I try to
separate that and my rp from each other. And make sure people,
even more importantly in a guild I am in, is cool with the stuff
we do, like I said before, it’s a dance.
- What's your activity like?
Truth be told I study as it is. So I always put that before WoW.
I have a major hobby aswell that take up a lot of my time too. I
train a martial arts called western style, which is a fighting
system with Viking age weaponry, aswell for the purpose of
Viking reenactment. Weaponry wise its Blunt mostly of course,
sharp is more for show and cut tests on objects. - Both of those
things take up my time a lot. And Larp, which I don’t use that
much time on anymore, I do some pin and paper roleplay more now
with close friends in the Warhammer setting. - Or in a more Game
of Thrones like setting, that is homebrewed by the GM of mine
from my pin and paper group.
But I am a reasonable person and will of course write if I plan
to go inactive or something comes up. But I can say now that I
won’t compromise any of those for rp in WoW.
But I usually log on nearly every day, but it depends really.
Wednesday I train the Viking stuff, so of course I won’t be on
their hehe!
I like the idea of an active guild and people who are dedicated,
but I also seek a guild that accepts that life can come in the
way or people have other stuff then WoW that they attend to.
But again, I don’t mind informing or telling people why and how.
I am reasonable like that :)
_______________________________________________
Current Total RP 3 description.
Ruhnark appearance and equipment.
Ruhnark seems to be around middle-aged. Though unclear if older
or younger.
At times, if not often this orc has a devilish grin smeared
across his face, as if he knew the punchline of a joke no ones
heard. His teeth and tusks damaged and yellowed, and he seems to
miss a few teeth aswell, his breath often reek of mead, ale and
smoked goods.
His one “good” right eye is reddish yellow, almost glaring in
somewhat sadistic fashion or taunting one. Making that grin of
his seem even more fiendish, should he show it. Or maybe yet
another pun on his mind? His left eye is usually covered by an
old tattered leather patch, who have seen better days.
Rugged and weather-beaten this orc has faced tough days and
hardship, his hide is nearly leather alike and old scars adorn
his face and body, from fighting and a harsh living. His skin is
grayish dark green, surely he must hail ilk of Blackrock orcs.
He seems slightly shorter than the average orc, by the way his
carrying himself, but it’s hard to tell. Strong arms like a
sailor and solid legs to keep him standing on the deck and good
beer gut to support it all! This orc bodies tells tales of harsh
times and work, fighting and crawling the depths of Blackrock,
maybe seafaring aswell? Though do not be fool, this veteran of
a rat is agile and fast on his feet, or well so goes the
stories.
A black and eerie scar covers some of his left shoulder. Faint
black veins seems formed around it, and it seems if burned and
sealed closed. He has a Blackrock Mountain shaped burn mark on
his right shoulder, which resembles that of the Blackrock Clan
mark. - Though not always visible.
His hair is pitch black, like if he had marinated it in tar and
kept in tight braid of hair. Though his rugged beard is often
messy and greasy. Unkempt nearly. It seems he has some pride
sense around his beard, though being wild and unkempt, filled
with small trinkets which seems to have various origin.
Tattoos of a sea serpent, wyrm like creature, lashes around his
body. Going from his torso down to his arms and down below to
the depths. - Maybe telling a story about seafaring and raiding?
Wait! Haven’t I already mentioned this!? Oh well! Better one
more time than sorry!
He is nearly always surrounded by the clear smell of nature,
dirt, mud, leather, blood, ashes and smoke. And booze, usually
Blackrock ale or grog. – And other foul concoctions, that is
usually booze.
Around his neck in a necklaces dangles various mixed teeth and
fangs from beasts, and other creatures, like pink-skins, some
even his own kind. Probably trophies of previous manhunts and
“crimes”. A few scalps from various creatures hangs from his
belt, some pink-skins others dwarven, and yet again some from
his own kind. And if that wasn’t enough braids from dwarven
creatures aswell, and most seem dark iron though. – If he
doesn’t carry these trophies around, his old mangy and grizzled
Blackrock worg, usually carries on them from its saddle.
What never leaves his side however is an old skullmug that he
keeps by his belt close to him. Adorn with ornaments and orcish
runes and signs. By closer inspection, it may be clear that the
skull hails from dwarven kin, though it’s hard to make out after
all these years of use, what the orcish runes says. But some may
be able to spot the following written upon it in orcish runes:
“Being dark in the black doesn’t make ya invisible your twat!”
Equipment and weaponry:
At the back of his belt two nasty battle knives is sheeted. His
trusty shankers, who seems to have seen maybe too many battles,
nearly becoming barbed due to many craters in the edges of them.
Probably of orcish craftsmanship. And sheeted in belts across
his chest is various throwing daggers and knives, and one
greater than the rest strapped to his boot.
By a holster strapped to his right leg and fasten by his belt is
an old flint lock pistol who have seen better days is sheeted.
The craftsmanship of it, is hard to make out, but its covered in
various orcish runes and ornaments, as if it was mockery or
vandalism upon this black powder contraption. Keen eyes may tell
that its either hailing from the Blackrock Forges or some kind
of mutilated dark iron creation. But what is clear is what is
written in orcish runes, “Now the bones are thrown”.
Sheeted on each side of his waist, is two hooked blades of what
seems of orcish origin. Worn and tested throughout the years.
He usually carries a large traveling bag along with him, with
various things meant for crawling the depths of this world or
traveling, like a long hooked chain, torches, an old hatchet,
rope, bedroll and other stuff along those lines. But what is
more curious is the various alchemist brews and concoctions that
sometimes become visible as he wanderers around. His worg may at
times carry this aswell.

Holy!-... that was one HELL of an application. The longest we
have ever received, but I loved reading it (accompanied by the
choice of theme song). Thanks for putting the time into that.
Your character will find out that any solo-work he goes on, ten
percent of that loot will be expected to be given to the gang.
But I'd like to think our good old guild master Tact won't
succumb to greed and get murdered for it like the Taskmaster in
this story. And I'm also voting for the nickname "Grin" - I like
it!
The fact he still kills isn't a problem OOCly, but the guild
will make it clear to him ICly that they only accepted "kill or
be killed" situations - they're rather fussy when it comes to
murder as if 1 member does it, the whole guild will be
associated. But, that is not to say that he can always continue
killing on the down low. Can't do much you know nothing about,
huh?
Activity-wise, IRL should always come before WoW so that is
entirely understandable. We only have issues with people and
activity when they disappear for prolonged amounts of time
without giving us any notice.
I have a lot to say, or rather, a lot of thoughts concerning
that app. The detail was amazing, really felt pulled through his
life until now and am excited to meet the character. If I can
tug out one of the abundance of questions going through my mind,
I'll send it later! Otherwise... how could the gang turn down a
character like yours? No doubt they will benefit with his figure
among them.
Approved!
PS, who drew the included orc picture? And is it a good
representation of his looks, or just an awesome looking orc
drawing you pulled out?

Hello,
I will double down on what Fade said and applaud for a moment,
this was by far the most detailed application yet.
He comes across as a rugged and life-hardened Orc with his
skillset in the right place.
I also like the fact that you have no problem scaling your
"power" to what kind of guild you're in, that's certainly a plus
on my regard.
To quote Fade: "how could the gang turn down a character like
yours?".
If any more questions come to mind, I'll let you know, but for
now:
Approved!

Hello again, and thank you for taking the time in writing that
monster of an application! As Fade already said above, that is
certainly the longest one we've ever received.
The character seems to be skilled in a lot of things - but then
again, with how much he has done, he ought to be quite
experienced. The mindset of being ready to tune down certain
powers is also very well appreciated. I'm not going to comment
further on the matter now, though, because I'm sure that if
situations arise where a powerful ability / other is about to be
used, we can discuss it there and then individually and come to
an agreement whether it stays within the 'limits' or not. With
the impression I get from the application, I don't see talking
things over becoming a problem with you!
What comes to his relations to other groups, namely the
Shattered Hand, I can see issues arising here from an IC point
of view - simply due to the fact of how actively the Shattered
Hand (or more specifically a branch within the Shattered Hand, a
guild called "Shattered Path" - currently inactive) used to be
after the Sixty Thieves' heads. But I'm certain this is
something that can be figured out through roleplay - if Ruhnark
ever even brings it up in the first place during the in-game
initiation progress.
Otherwise I don't have more to comment right now! Although
lengthy, it was a pleasant read, and definitely went into enough
detail - thank you for that!
And so, I will say: Approved!

Thanks for the awesome feedback! I am totally baffled over the
overwhelmingly positive feedback that got from you and other
members!
I am not sure he will mentioning the Shattered Hand, unless
forced to. Simply because he consinder it a secret, along wtih
his dealings with Ravenholdt, unless really needed of him. If
his a member of either, will be something I will let be up to
the rp and how it works, I don't like talking too much on behalf
of factions and such, so being sort of a member would probably
be right to assume maybe. But as much credit he may have earned
with them, they probably also mistrust him a great deal too, due
to his way of behavior. But his servitude is surely noted I am
sure. - I usally like to down play this part too, since its
alot of power to have either of these factions at your back, or
being in dealings with them.
Ruhnarks loyalty in the end lies with those he can find himself
to trust, aswell those he makes agreements and contracts with.
He always follows through on that code of conduct.
But as said, he is in a dark place now, is slowly finding his
feet again. Having lost people he came to see as actually
friends and not just work partners. Even people he admired or
valued greatly on jobs.
He is not sure either within himself if his being used or
actually is a consindered a true member of the factions
metioned, but he does have "friends" amongst the factions, not
important lore persons or people of any kind.
The Dusk Slithers was probably the faction he was most loyal to,
due to it being made out of people he knew was people after his
heart and mindset. - He will probably referer to them more. -
They sorta still exsists, but it's really a shadow of their
former glory and now mostly a group for shareing infomation,
trade, getting contacts.
His work as a double agent will probably take abit more time
before he spills beans like that, mainly due to the fact that
its hush hush. - If the Blackrock ever found out, he would be a
dead dog, even though the Blackrock has worse things to deal
with seeing there whole mountain is in a complete diasterious
state.
In time he may even offer the Sixy Thieves a chance to get in on
some dealings with the Blackrock or do some jobs for them
through his connections.
Again about the Shattered hand. He could maybe in time serve as
sorta "diplomat/dealmaker/broker" between the Sixty Thieves and
the Shattered hand, to get them out of trouble or get a "peace"
sort of treaty. Or even have them get in on some work they both
can agree on. - Like the "Corrupted Cop" sorta thing. - Even get
them off lists, and dissapear.
Though I doubt he could make the Ravenholdt do anything or do
anything sort of big with them, he barely have his own feet in
that door, and if he try to force it in, he probably may break
it. But he do know a few members, but again, of not great
importance.
I would love to hear more about this past with the Shattered
Path - I do not know much about them, if anything at all. So I
like to be filled in, if it is something my character would know
about or if it has importance for me :)
About the power, well as said I scale it. He has seen alot and
done alot, and he is made to be able to scale after guild and
the rp. So he can be used both in High and low key settings, and
I really like to be able to do that. But doing so requires alot
of lore and work, which I did hehe! - But aye! I am reasonable
and can be talked to about it, if anything should come up. Rp is
a tango after all, dance, moshpit or whatever hehe! ;)
At the momment he don't wanna be send on a suicide mission to
hell zone one, aka. The Broken Isles. He doesn't have the guts
as it is for it, he lost abit of those when Dusk Slithers
suffered heavly. Though avenging them is on his mind, but again.
Again, survival above heroism and vandetta's. And hearing about
so many great champions of both factinos getting, snuffed made
him think twice about joining the war head on too. He knows this
time, its for real, and he greatly consinder his options, mostly
for survival.
PS: The orc picture was an attempt to find an Blackrock orc art
picture that actually was sort close to my character for future
reference, and for me to draw inspiration from when I re-wrote
his appearance. - Ofcourse its not 100% spot on but it does
really depict him quite well. - He just lacks the eyepatch, and
that foul grin of his hehe! - But this would probably be taken
on a day with bad hangovers and what not!
I spend quite sometime searching for a good picture to throw my
inspiration towards, and this one really did it for me :)

Well that gave me something worth reading while I nibble down my
morning toast.
Thank you ever so much for applying Ruhnark. You've already
impressed the other bigwigs of the guild it seems so I don't
feel I have to draw the application process out any further.
This gets my full approval.
The Gangplank theme was a nice touch and already started to give
me an insight. Needless to say, the backstory was great and
tells us more than we need to know!
Will just highlight that the Sixty tries to provide numerous
ways in which to develop your character further by way of
challenging and even questionable scenarios. I hope in your case
you find a happy medium for Grin's skillset / power level as
well.
Back to development - Top of the hierarchy is divided into
several key roles which we seek to hand out to those who clearly
show they're on the right path so being a lowly newblood and
potential rascal is all about trying to impress the right people
on the right jobs. Be as bold and creative as you like and enjoy
the inevitable rewards and punishments that come your way =)
I encourage you to get into contact with any one of us in game
ASAP so we can fix your initial RP with the gang.
Hope to see you soon.
Your new mistress
- Poppet.
