Reckoning's Application, IGN Allamat
By: Reckoning Date: September 2, 2016, 6:41 am
---------------------------------------------------------
- Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves? (And OOCly, why do you want to join?)
Hmm, a..’Gang’..Of. Thieves..hmm, interesting. Ever since the
incident I’ve wondered if I could find allegiance with another
group. Let us see..
OOC: I’d like to join as I would enjoy the change of RP, up
until this point I’ve been mostly Roleplaying as nobles or
something along those lines. I think it’d be fun to have a
harsher environment, also. I’ve had this character in
development and once I thought about his personality I think
It’d fit perfectly with the guids theme.
- What would their nickname be?
Reckoning and Sheamus, read through the background and you’d
understand why there is two. Though it’s up for discussion.
- How powerful is your character?
Not massively, he’s muscular, sure. Though compared to orcs and
tauren his physical capability is little, he’s dabbled in some
chronomancy, though he keeps it quiet. Heis sneaky, quiet and
rather deceitful, even beyond his taller elven stature
- What's her/his background like?
He was just simply not planned nor wanted, dumped in an
orphanage and not adopted, so he left at around the equivalent
of 16 to live alone, though he spent his days on the streets
stealing and begging for food and money, though it did work
rather well, as he came out daily with a good pockets worth of
gold and a stomach full of food.
Side note: He has a few..twinges in his head, based on
experiences I have given the character a split personality. He
has two ‘parts’ of his head which for this character's sense
would be as if two brains had been fit into one body. One of the
halves (Sheamus) was created due to being young and having
issues with defending himself, so thus he was poofed into
existence b
‘Sheamus’: The more quiet, serious of the two, harsh to those he
doesn’t trust and untrusting, very much so.
‘Reckoning’: His birth personality. The stronger of the two
minds and the one mostly in control. He is more mentally weak
and susceptible to insults and bullying.
Both the halves understand what they have to do to live, but
they cannot tell when the other is in control, so when one half
is out and controlling, the other is ‘asleep’ so when they next
gain control
They will not know what had happened,
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
He is consistent to the extent of my knowledge, I am not
massively knowledgeable, but I do know the basics and so forth.
I will try and stay in the guidelines, but feel free to correct
me if I say something absurd or just unacceptable
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
“Depends, are they successful.” He’d kill a target only if the
gold is right, if there is no gold involved, he’d only kill in
the situation where he was forced, otherwise he’d be like my
class and vanish the heck out of there, he prefers to stay
hidden and usually wouldn’t engage in combat unless his life
depends on it
- Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
Majority of them yes, as long as they are viable for what the
situation is. It adds to the risk of the situation and immerses
you further into character, knowing that if you F*ck up, then
you’d only have yourself to blame
- Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
He is. Ah, stealthy in his own terms. Finding ways into
buildings and using the little magic knowledge he has got to his
advantage, the spells he has ‘mastered’ would be a phase spell,
meaning he can pass through a wall, this includes objects. A
reverse spell, which rewinds what’d be the equivalent of 5
seconds, so it’d give him a second chance to, I don’t know. Grab
that special Goblet from the window. Though both in their own
terms aren’t useful for anything other than thievery or getting
stabbed.
- What's your activity like?
I’d be fairly active and would likely be online and available
daily
Thank you, Reckoning. <3

Thanks for taking the time to write this, here's a bundle of
thoughts / ideas I got when reading:
We have had members with two nicknames before, but whether the
Sixty will want to name his split personality sides is
questionable. If I think of any names that sort of reflect both
sides and fit both of his personalities I'll suggest, otherwise
the two you gave fit well! (If only 1 can be chosen, is there a
more dominant side to his character, and therefore that nickname
will be the one chosen?)
As for the personality, was it a traumatic experience when
younger that gave it to him, his isolation when growing up, or
just another extraneous variable that gave him this illness?
(not that it matters, I am just curious)
Lore, power, accepting RP consequences are more or less just a
sort of warning, or otherwise us saying "Be prepared for this
this and this if you enter the guild" as we don't tolerate lack
of lore consistency and people who e.g. attempt to kill another
member and do not accept getting an IC beating punishment for
it. It seems you're all good on that front but thought I'd
clarify why we asked!
As for killing, The Thieves ICly do not tolerate killing, but
that is an IC p.o.v. If your character did do some killing for
gold out of the gang's vision, well of course he would get away
with it. The no-kill rule is an IC one, not OOC
And finally, I approve the app, but wait for other officers to
give their opinions and questions. Good luck!

A well thought through app and character. Gives us more than
enough to work with I feel and already a solid YES from me!
You'll obviously be expected to advance down a criminal path and
It'll be interesting to see which of the two personalities will
take to it first IF at all.
The gang has been known to face all manner of perils in the past
but at the end of all those long and exhausting roads there's
always thrills, fun and basking in gold to be had. I'm sure you
know exactly what you and both personalities want from all this
and we sincerely hope to provide! Not placing any bets on which
one will shine the most quite yet though.
Upon joining there will be an immediate IC spotlight on your
character as higher ranking members will be looking to be
impressed as well a looking for those sweet sweet weaknesses of
his. Do you think your character's split personality might raise
any concern, has it gotten him into much trouble or conflict
before? OOCly we're always rooting for new recruits to make it
into the family. I'm just curious as to how much "fun" this
trait/flaw of his might provide us with in the future.
Other than that! Already looking forward to welcoming you into
the fold! The app gets my approval!

Fraylee, the more dominant personality would be Terryn, though
of course his nickname'd be Reckon or whatever comes from that.
He was given this split from just a series of trauma, consisting
of the death of friends in some sort of attack (Will write the
story for that soon) and the constant exile from city to city,
making him unable to settle down and live a life or get a full
/LEGAL/ job. He had issues with being abandoned, cliche much.
But also with betrayal from his 'group' I mentioned in his
reason to join, a big heist happened and they stole his split
and the rest of what he had, then left him in the dust , thus
this second personality was formed, this side being the one that
in simple terms, doesn't take any S*it from anybody. It's very
noticeable when he switches, these being:
.Lack of facial expression, straight lips, un-moving eyes.
.deeper tone, he speaks without putting effort into his voice.
.A lot less caring. Traditionally he'd socialise at least a
little, though this side only cares when is needed.
This side usually comes out when the body as a whole is taking
a form of abuse, example, someone tortures him, this side comes
out. Someone bullies the body, this side comes out.
The two do communicate, making it seem as if he is talking to
himself.
This would've been caused by the combination of isolation and
childhood pain and bullying. Blah not massive in terms, but the
kid was sensitive. It will become more indepth as I get time to
work on a full backstory, but that'd be the guidelines!
Thank you all once again <3

Hello there!
Looks like a well-thought and decent application. One nickname
would be preferable to avoid possible confusion, even if the
personalities are different. Would "Reckoning" be a nickname
that suits both?
I also got a few questions regarding his powers; more
specifically the two spells that you mentioned at the end.
Neither are something I'd have encountered in the game before -
in fact, I am very lacking in knowledge about 'chronomancy' in
general. Are you able to shed some more light on it? How did he
come to learn this kind of magic and how draining and
time-consuming is it to cast such spells? The Sixty Thieves very
often face situations where they need to find original ways into
locked and guarded buildings, for example - simply walking
through a dense wall into a house sounds a little too good to be
true, so to speak. We are wary about abilities that make
problems too easy to solve, e.g it is far more interesting to
figure out an escape route through a heavily guarded manor
rather than just open up a portal and walk into it once the job
is done. It adds to the RP!
Looking forwards to hearing more!

Chronomancy as a type of magic is the manipulation of time,
which is in World of Warcraft lore, just not as a playable class
or specialisation. It can be major time warps, like the invasion
of legion, or just reversing a few seconds, for example being
caught stealing, quickly erased.
The spell I mentioned would be extremely draining, so either
way you'd notice he had done something worthy of burning 90% of
his energy on. It'd leave him to the level of being unable to
cast another, it's a one pop deal and it'd take a full day to
have a second shot.
Phase isn't cronomancy, being more of an arcane spell, it'd be
like blink, if you could blink through walls that is. So if that
is the case, I can simply forget of it.
He'd have learnt chronomancy from an old time he, heh.. 'Found'.
He carries it around but to a mere novice, it'd be simply
jibberish on a page.
I will add he is NOT a powerful character in any way, and most
likely his best role would be cannon fodder or meat shield as it
stands, through he tries.
PS. Sorry for spelling, I did this type up quickly on my phone
as this weekend I've been at a relatives <3

Thank you for the clarifications! Contact one of our officers in
game (Thalindor, Laerynna, Ahote, Fraylee, Erthamar) to get in
touch ICly. The Sixty Thieves are currently residing in Ratchet.
Approved!

Thought I'd update what I have already told Reckoning so
everyone else is aware.
We will be interacting with this character again in an event
I'll host some time when I'm back from holiday. This character
is yet to be seen by the rest of the guild!
