- Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
Thieves?
So, a notorious gang of criminals are making a name for
themselves again are they? Sixty of them too? Niceee! So why
wouldn't a sly, ambitious profiteer like Kinksy not want to see
what all the hubbub was about? I can see a healthy partnership
happening so long as everyone behaves? Waddya say fellas? Think
you can bring back some treats for Kinksy? She'll pay well
enough, promise.
OOC BIT: So I'm proposing something of a partnership here
rather than throwing another dead weight into the Sixty fray.
She'll be an asset to the guild and I can promise you a loyal
one. It came up once in conversation about the Guild having its
own fence but not having a member to actively RP one. Instead we
sometimes relied on whatever Gearfist was around at the time.

- What would their nickname be?
MELON! ...open for suggestions though. I trust you guys.
- How powerful is your character?
Aha, well... She's an established pyroman[s]ia[/s]cer with the
usual roots in arcane. So I'd say she's pretty powerful yeah.
Though sometimes her magic can be a little unstable at times.
this does not deduct from its destructive capabilities however.
Probably adds to it more than anything. - Now I know you
humble thieves are probably frowning upon this right now but
I'll explain where I'm going with it in the final part a'right.
- What's her/his background like?
Business! Hardwork! And more business. To be expected really.
Kinks has lived a rich and vibrant life and has learnt a thing
or two in her time when it comes to coin, trade, financing,
banking and appraisal. Being one with magic also allows her to
determine enchantments and other magical properties. A plus in
that sort of profession really. She ran with Gearfist IBS for
while, batted her eyelids all the way into the Gearboss' lap and
personal hog. She got to see the world for a bit, make some new
and interesting friends in the name of business. One's that
still serve her well to this day I might add.
The girl has her hands in all the right places and even after
she left the ranks of IBS to pursue a career in starting a
Tailor Shop, she maintains a steady flow of business through
good partnerships with all the right and wrong people.
For the sake of defining the character a little more, Kinksy has
seen war first hand. As a caster she was called in as a part of
the Gearfist auxiliary during the Frozen Heart Campaign. In no
way a seasoned fighter, this is just to add that Kinks has seen
her fair share of grim in the world and wont shy away too much
from whatever naughty business she might witness among the
thieves.
- How consistent is your character with following the lore?
Well I do try.
- "Are you a killer, son/lass?"
Rumor has it she pushed a co-worker into a furnace once. Other
than that, why would she be? =)
- Do you accept ‘RP-consequences’?
Yup! Often Kinks will bring them upon herself just to keep
things interesting. Ever ballsed-up a teleportation spell and
left your clothes behind? ...and quite possibly your hair as
well?. Ain't pretty.
- Any specialities s/he has? Perhaps a skill in something, a
behavioural or personality trait that can be considered unique.
Tailoring by means of a steady income. Something those crafty
goblin fingers are rather competent at. Portals. Yes Portals.
Though she'll probably be in too much of a hurry to share one so
don't be getting your hopes up, please. A silver tongue. Kinks
got the gift of the gab. (In no relation to Poppet) Kinks is a
businesswoman and will make sure she's the one getting the most
out of a deal. But eh. If a smooch is needed to seal the deal,
it can't hurt. Magic tricks! She's a caster. Expect a little
entertainment from her and at most some magic cake if moods are
down. Balls of steel. Kinks ain't scared easy. Goblin ignorance.
Shear Goblin ignorance and the comforting thought she could
probably toast it with her bare hands.
- What's your activity like?
The same as Poppet's. Only... This is her alt so... Yeeeaah~
THE OTHER OOC BIT:
So I know the guild doesn't like over-powered characters and I
agree fully on this. Even stating that if all the worlds
problems could be solved by magic it would be a very boring
world to live in.
Saying this. Kinksy will most likely not be attending events
that require peril or any amount of rolls. She is after all an
Alt and I have Poppet for the real events anyway.
Kinks will remain a reliable friend and contact of the guild who
can be called on whenever she's needed or just feels like
showing up to share in the drinks she probably paid for.

Tact -MIGHT- have said to wait until a hanged responded before
replying to an application like this, but we both know I'm a
strong independent black woman who don't need no man telling her
what to do.
On a slightly more serious note though, I really like the idea!
I think the concept of using Kinksy as an aid to the guild and
not exactly a thief, per se, is new and interesting. I don't
know what's happened before me, but I know I've not seen
anything like it. Plus it would mean we wouldn't have to rely on
other guilds such as IBS to sell our...Uh.."Uniquely acquired
items".
One thing I do worry about is how similar this char might be to
Poppet. I'm not saying only one character in the guild can be a
flirty "Womanly woman" as you put it, but I do worry that it
will become hard to define each character, and that the lines
between them may blur. But hey, I'm more than happy to be proven
wrong!
Anyway, more Poppet (I don't know your real name, so I'm
substituting Poppet here) can never be a bad thing. I won't get
any hopes up by saying something silly like "Approved", I'll
leave that to my betters, but if it's worth anything, you have
my seal of approval! :)

Jokes aside. Hello Poppet.
Decent application! A real fence is indeed something that the
Thieves have not had for a while, although the need of one has
always been there. As said in the application, that kind of
stuff have been dealt through other guilds which certainly can
and has slowed down the progress of certain plotlines (but on
the side it has perhaps created some more RP too, so it's not
been an all-together bad thing). Her relations with people will
come in handy, we've got plenty of goods on our hands right now
that could use a buyer, rather sooner than later.
The power-thing caught my eye, as probably was expected. Having
someone skilled in magic (and the ability to create portals -
every robberers dream-come-true), it'd feel like the smartest
option to keep such a member tight in the pocket at every job.
This being an alt, it obviously cannot happen, but looking
strictly from an IC point-of-view. Her being busy with other
thievy things, such as handling the loot, is the only potential
explanation that comes to my mind at this point - any other
ideas? Something worth a discussion.
In any case, knowing that you're a great RPer - and as the
application looks good - I'll give this my approval.

Thanks for the varying approvals so far =)
I wrote the app based on the fact Kinks will forever remain an
alt and probably wont have much influence over the guild. She's
also the only other character I could enjoy playing thus my
reason for putting her forward as my entitled guild alt.
By all means don't drop what little collaboration we do have
with IBS and I'd encourage any one to go out there and find
other potential collaborators. Kinks will just be one we can
call upon in the hands of a trusted guild member. Don't forget
she'll happily hold on to any guild valuables they don't want
laying around in the open. Rather than having to bury them in
the ground like a bunch of filthy pirates! Your secrets and coin
are always safe with Kinksaaay!
Never hurts to have another contact within the city either! ALL
OF THEM! When your spies are on a break or the gang find
themselves very far away again Kinks might be able to bring them
up to speed with current affairs. Nothing too classified but a
general up-date on war efforts and activity.
ICly she'll make it clear she has no desire to risk her hide
with the thieves and they should learn very fast that her
portals are not something they'll be getting any time soon. (
They will however remain a convenience thing should we ever find
ourselves in -very- dire need of one for the sake of
progression. Like the time we had to make an emergency trip to
Org from Silvermoon to find a very silly Wolf and Drool. We
actually -paid- I repeat PAID a magister that time if I remember
rightly. Pop, Shadow, Junkie and Fish.)
Kinks will most likely show up when it suits her as well, rather
than for the gangs every whim. How quickly they'll warm to her
remains to be seen of course.

I love her already. I have nothing extra to add and can't wait
to get her in the guild! (And I am all for Melon until anytihng
possibly better is thought of xD)
