       Theraldar's application
By: Theraldar Date: July 26, 2016, 2:40 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Why does s/he want to join the lowlife theft gang, the Sixty
       Thieves?
Theraldar is seeking a way for a lowly bard to make a decent
income from less than scrupulous means in order to buy back
paintings he sold during a darker time.
OOC: I'm looking for a guild that'll get me out of Silvermoon
and actually get Theraldar moving as a character.
       What would their nickname be?
Due to his lute-playing skill, chord may be an apt nickname.
       How powerful is your character?
Theral's not much of a scrapper. Whilst broad shouldered and
stocky for an elf, he rarely uses his strength for a fight. His
main ability lies in being able to listen and sway people with
       his music.
       What's his background like?
Theraldar Summersong, once an Elf who played in the seats of
many middling Thalassian houses during garish parties and
banquets now finds himself down on his luck and finding work
rather difficult. A depression took him following the dead's
march on Quel'Thalas, a result of the loss of his wife, an
artist. He began selling her paintings for a fraction of the
cost, and took to drinking. His goal is to eventually get enough
coin to purchase the collection back.
How consistent is your character with the lore?
Played within the lore confines as much as I'm able, although
the amount can be quite staggering in some places. I know Blood
Elf lore fairly well, but I'm trying to get to grips with the
entirety of the Hordes. I think this guild would be a good
       primer for me.
       "Are you a killer, son?"
Theraldar, despite carrying a dagger on his hip hasn't killed
someone, luckily for him. Else he'd have to drink a lot more.
       Do you accept RP consequences?
Yes! It adds so much immersion to the current RP scenario if
consequences, and risks are on the table.
       Any specialties he has?
Theraldar is a music lover, and can play the lute to a high
quality. If push comes to a shove he can probably use his bulk
to bodyslam someone before running off.
       What's your activity like?
I'm fairly active, although occasionally I may disappear for a
week or two due to health issues. I'm more active on weekends
like most, I suppose, as I'm in education.

       Hello and thanks for applying!
Looks like an interesting character concept with a background
that has much potential to start building a criminal life on.
Has he committed any crimes to this date, or is this a new path
he seeks to take in his desperation? The Sixty Thieves are after
competent people who seem able to add to the gang's finance, so
in case he's new to all this it might take a little bit of
convincing ICly to gain a place. Thanks in advance for a
       response!

Hello there and thanks for Applying!
The application certainly paints a picture =) You'd think there
would be more bards in such a vivid fantasy world but oddly
enough there aren't... I want one!
Would you say Theraldar was a bit of a softy then? Or reserved?
From an IC standpoint he'll need some work as a criminal life
aint pretty. Which is totally fine!!! It'll be fun and
interesting more than anything to see your character develop
       with us.
OOCly you seem to know where your character is coming from and
what he can bring to the table. -OUR- Table that is! Solid
       concept so to speak.
In game whispers will reach you within a day or so for your
initial RP with some of the gang. Most likely from a more
       established officer.
This has my full approval though so, hope to see you in game
       soon!

I have no comments par enjoying reading the app and thinking
your character will make a suitable addition to the gang.
Approved, whisper Anabe / Fraylee / Laerynna / Thalindor to work
out a time for your interview!

I was thinking of having him steal one painting from a gig,
which leads to him being discredited as a musician - thus losing
most of his income and having to resort to more crime in order
to get the remaining paintings through coin, no matter how said
       coin is acquired.
I'm hoping it sort of starts a cycle. He stole once, so he
'threw it away' and has to steal again.
