Koln "Big K" Findrake's application.

Never applied to a guild on a site before, but I'll do my best
to stick to protocol.
Koln was contacted recently by a member of the Shattered Path,
after sharing a drink and an act of criminality, the Shattered
Path member let it be known that she was looking for a thief to
infiltrate the Sixty Thieves and feed information to her via
letters. At first, Koln, known by "Big K" to his friends, was
sceptical, and thought the task asked of him too dangerous, but
the money (50 gold coins) proved too good an opportunity to pass
up.
Koln has a chequered past, moving from city to city always doing
his best to evade the long arm of the law, he found from a very
early age that he wasn't good at much. He wasn't strong, so he
couldn't be a bruiser. He didn't have the gift of the gab, so he
couldn't be a salesman. One thing he did find easy however, was
taking what he wanted whenever he saw fit. Koln found that he
had a very loose concept of personal property, and found it easy
to navigate his way through even some of the toughest of locks.
After his sister died, he moved to Orgrimmar. That's where he
first heard whispers of the band calling themselves the "Sixty
Thieves".
For the past few weeks I have been very active on my other
characters, but Koln took a backseat, rarely getting a chance to
see the light of day. With the discovery of the Sixty Thieves,
and the task from the Shattered Path, I will be making this
character a priority when I am dividing my time.

Hey, thanks for applying!
50g? Sweet baby Thrall that's a lotta moolah.
Just so we know from an OOC standpoint, would his initial (and
maybe only) aim be to follow out with the Shattered Path's
request, infiltrate the Sixty Thieves and gain the money? We
don't usually have requests such as this, but it is an
interesting one with that. A variety of possibilities could stem
from Koln's joining, and I think it could be quite fun indeed.
So yeah, why does he want to join? For infiltrating, for an
actual position in the gang, or is that a surprise / depends on
IC decisions?
Sixty Thieves accepts thieves, so I'm pretty sure Koln will have
a damn good chance at persuading them to let him in. They are
suspicious of all people aiming to join, but the people of the
underground need to stick together!

Regardless of the outcome I can imagine the SP request will make
quite some interesting RP indeed! Aaand yeah, what more can we
ask if he is already stealing and capable of picklocking?!

Ah, the only thing I'd like to add is that it would be handy to
think of a nickname nobody else knows you with and isn't related
to your identity just as an act of caution ;)

Hello there!
An interesting situation, indeed. I'm also curious whether he'd
only join for the sake of the reward that he was promised, or if
he'd like a permanent place in the gang. Whichever it is, ICly
our characters would not know, but it would be good to have an
idea OOC what your intentions regarding the guild may be.
The character concept makes him seem like a perfect type to join
a gang of Thieves, so I have no criticism whatsoever there!
Being an alt also isnt an issue, as long as the character isnt
simply dumped into the guild and never get played again. If a
longer absence is needed, characters won't be kicked unless they
never notified the guild they were going to go away, or the
absence lasts a lot longer than it was initially supposed to and
we dont hear from them through that time.

As far as OOC intentions go, I'd like to stay in the guild as
long as possible, I am in a RP guild on my main, so some events
might clash but I will ensure that I will attend an even number
of events in both guilds, I won't play favourites. And when it
comes to IC intentions, I think Koln at the moment is just
thinking of getting in, earning that 50g, and getting out. But
honestly, I think that over time, Koln will warm to the guild
and may have a conflict of interests, maybe even begin to feed
false information to cover the guild's tracks. But it's too soon
to say. I'd like to play it by ear and let IC play out
naturally.

I think it'll be interesting to see how both parties play out
with this ordeal. As he knows we are in Tanaris, RP can initiate
however your character expected it to initiate ICly! The way
interviews go is usually the one joining coming up to us like,
"Hey, I know you! I've been looking for you and uh, want in...."
although the Thieves would be a bit worried to know that he
knows who they are. Could always stimulate from casual rp and he
finds out about them through that...
.. there are plenty of choices!

Sweet! So whereabouts in Tanaris would Koln find you? Or is that
all part of the initiation? Either way, I look forward to RPing
with you folks.

I'm unsure when who will be about, but the entire guild is
hanging around Gadgetzan right now. Where specifically depends
onwhat hang out point they decide to temporarily claim! Feel
free to poke any guild members who are online to see if they are
up for RP - 20:00 is usually the prime time though :)

I like the idea, a lot! The whole shattered path things was
something that would eventually happen, one way or the other so
I am psyched to see it play out, for the guild and for your
character, of course. Looking forward to rp'ing with you!
