       Membership Dues Increasing

       Special Board of Directors Meeting
       Meeting Agenda:
The AUDIT COMMITTEE has requested a Special Board Meeting to
       report on USAT’s year-end Financials.
Nb. This meeting will be held in Executive Session and is not
       open to the membership.

*Based on the last two Audit Committee meetings I have listened
in on, this is going to be ugly, very ugly. I also predict they
raise the membership dues to $50 at this meeting, unless they
decide to leave that to the next one, but it is coming before
       end of year.

The majority of dues come from people who do not compete at the
national level. They purchase memberships only to support the
USAT. That suggests a high level of "elasticity" of demand, that
raising dues could possibly lower overall revenues. The USAT
Governance Task Force suggested that this needed to be analyzed
carefully as it could do more harm than good. This Board has
undertaken no such analysis. They do not know what the probable
outcome of a dues raise could be. It could be positive, but that
would be a happy accident. How would it compare with lowering
dues but requiring every registered club to enroll all members?
Well, nobody knows because this Board doesn't think that way.

Regarding "budgets" there is no legal reason that can justify,
for a 501(c)(3) organization, a recognized NGB, an "executive
       session."
       None.
The excessive and illegal use of "executive sessions" by the
prior USAT administration and board was one of the specific
reasons that the USOC put the USAT on probation.

Having listened to the last two meetings, I would say this is
not really a meeting to discuss the budget except in the context
of ripping the CEO a new one. The last two meetings information
from office has been sketchy, inconsistent and you could hear
       the major frustration in voices.

Poor research will get poor results.... Or should I say lack of
       research...
All TKD organizations have a lack of consideration for members!
I would even go so far as total disregard for membership! Not
just USAT but also AAU and WTF...
I have noticed a lot of new teams are starting to be formed and
traveling internationally! With the point system the NGB's
importance is diminished! This will affect AAU considerably!
Lots of independent teams popping up that will compete with AAU
       for athletes!
