Grand Prix Results - USAT Shut Out of Medals

Congratulations to all the US competitors on their hard work
getting to the Grand Prix. Sadly no one medalled at the event.

Even more sad, no one appears to have cheered the team. The USAT
barely recognized that the team went to China, there were no
USAT tweets or facebook or anything. Part of it would be
everyone getting involved in their own lives - the Nationals and
other holiday events. I too was caught up in my own issues and
had no desire to do much of anything about anything as two of my
furry companions decided to cross the Rainbow Bridge in the same
       week days apart.
The Cadet Team leaves for Azerbijan shortly, maybe we could all
make more of an effort to cheer them on. After all these are the
kids who have had to pay thousands for their trip out of their
own pocket. Let's show them some support.
       GO USA!!

If you look at some the losses. We lost to some very good
fighters. Not making excuses, just not as bad as it would
       appear.
Lewis lost to Jade Jones in a close match.
Mark Lopez lost to Daehoon Lee
       Steven lost to Crismanich
       Lambdin lost to Cho
Jennings lost to Iran after beating a couple of tough fighters
one of them being Maxim Potvin of Canada
We were very competitive all the losses were close.
