world class sparring?

There are certain athletes in weight divisions that they never
qualified in. Why is this? They're not injured so I can't see
why they would get a waiver.

I know for a fact that staff told some coaches to just go ahead
and register certain athletes even though they did not qualify.
It reminds me if team trials where one staff and rules said no
changing weights and then same allowed athletes to change while
others did not.

Why would they do that? My experience at tha January team
trials is that the rules are very flexible and not really
followed. That knife cuts both ways. Wish we could get more
consistent in how rules are applied and communicated.
Do current Jr Team Members have to qualify?

I'd rather not call the athlete out but he competes in the sr
world class division. He isnt affiliated directly with peak or
rst but he did win nationals last year. I know for a fact he
didnt qualify for that division through a qualifier because he
was having trouble losing the weight and had to be bumped up a
weight division

I see...would not worry about it much I doubt he can make that
weight again. If you are concerned contact the USAT. If it is
who I think it is this would have nothing to do with Peak or
RST. I am sure the USAT will fix it if notified.
It is important that these rules are followed so that we have an
even playing field for all athletes.
Let's not start any internet conspiracies. :)

chaotic couple weeks and it will come to me, I do know it was
several that were offered the opportunity.

Trending.tkd said it is in the Sr World Class Division Male. I
have an Idea who he is referring to but have no confirmation on
wether he qualified or at what weight division. Only 22 people
currently registered it is pretty easy to figure out who it
might be.
If they are going to make exceptions these opportunities should
be afforded to everyone.
