As usual USAT has not followed their own guidelines and has
created a situation that would not exist if they had
communicated. They should have stuck to their time table or
communicated that it was impossible.

Here is my speculation:
1. Juan and Jean won't sign the agreement.
2. They made everyone else sign agreement.
3. USOC will not allow them to bar Juan and Jean from Coaching.
4. They appointed someone with felonies and know that when I see
a list I will blast out that he has felonies and that Tuoi Le
that they are trying to toss has no felonies nor any body to
body contact, but they are trying to get him out.
5. They do not want this on my website. Fact, one of reasons I
can't have my illegally not actually removed as there was no
vote and there is no record of it membership is the BOD members
are afraid of getting on my website. They never learned, keep
friends close and enemies closer.
So they can't post this without a huge uproar from several
sectors - the members when they discover that former felons can
be High Performance Coaches and be suggested for things like
maybe YOG and when Juan and Jean don't change their client
lists, then people will scream. So don't post the list so no one
knows and they don't end up on this board and Ladytkd.

Why are they trying to get Toui Le out?

Because I am defending him. That is the only reason I can come
up with.
He did a background check. The checks come back in 3 categories
- he passed two of the three and on the third the background
check people put "consider." Bruce is under pressure to
implement Safe Sport. I had just nailed him on Gerald Murphy who
has a conviction for sex with a 15 year old student who can't
teach school in Florida but can teach TKD and be a USAT coach.
So Bruce tossed 4 guys in April, one of them Tuoi. He did it
with no notice, no hearing nothing, just put him on the perv
list. Since then all but Tuoi have been removed from the list.
Tuoi has no felonies, a couple misdemeanors and not on the Sex
Offender List, has no crimes against minors and frankly has
nothing that a lot of coaches have. If they toss Tuoi, I have a
list of National Assistant Coaches who have a history of bar
fights, assault, domestic violence and of course the felony. It
won't be pretty. They violated CO law which says Tuoi is
entitled to 15 days notice and a hearing less than 5 days before
his suspension. USAT attorney says that it was ok because he was
suspended, not terminated. Law says suspension or termination -
same rules. I have a headache. They told Tuoi to read the Code
of Ethics to see what he violated and directed him to the
website where no one can find anything. He has sent letters
asking them what he can do to resolve this but neither Bruce nor
the BOD will answer him. It is ridiculous. Personal opinion is
they are fighting me more than dealing with Tuoi. All he wants
to do is take his kids to Nationals. He can't even get into
Hangastar even though he was not legally suspended.

FELON: one who has committed a felony (from Webster's Online).
One can not be a former felon. Once a felon, always a felon
unless a pardon has been granted then one is a pardoned felon.

No pardon I can find. I did debate on using "former" - only
because I know that certain folks will start up the "he paid his
dues" conversation. I don't think he should be kicked out, only
that recommending someone with a known felony or two as coach
for Youth Olympic Games is probably a bad idea.

This has still not been handled? No compromise reached? If
coaches are still refusing to sign we should move on with those
who have signed.
When some sort of agreement can be reached with those particular
coaches then put them on the roster. Why hold up the process
for everyone?
I am sure that when push comes to shove and their fighters are
going to fight at an important tournament they will sign.
It is a sad situation if it is our former National Team Coaches
are the ones holding up the process. Either amend the rules to
make them happy or move on but we can't stay in limbo.
The lack of communication/action on issues disengages members
and that is never good.

"I am sure that when push comes to shove and their fighters are
going to fight at an important tournament they will sign."
And therein lies the rub. The paperwork stipulates that the
coaches will not be automatically allowed to coach their own
athletes as stupid as this may sound.

Based on Sr Worlds, Jr Worlds and Jr Pan Ams...99% of the time
if the athletes coach is on staff he will be coached by his
coach. Conflicts when multiple athletes are fighting at the
same time are the only reason a coach might not coach his
athlete.
I was at the JR Pan Am's this seems to be standard practice if
your coach is on staff and at the event you have a 99% chance
that he will coach you.
