Does USAT Really Have 20% Athlete Representation?

Question - this came up in conversation last night with a former
AAC officer and Olympian. Does the current AAC ever have
meetings? No posted meetings in I don't know how many years. No
posted procedures as required by the bylaws, no posted minutes
as required by the bylaws. No athletes even asking apparently if
they are truly being represented. Guess I am getting old as I
remember the days when the AAC was a major power house, but now
nothing. Well, actually, I think they quit having regular
meetings back in about 2006 and never regained the habit. Sad -
this is supposed to be about the athletes after all.
I get that one of the AAC reps on the BOD is competing, but at
this point has missed a large number of meetings. Competing is
important, but so is representing all the athletes. Maybe the
athletes should consider another rep for the BOD meetings to
ensure their representation?
