Did you Get Your Questions In? Here are some!

Too late now, all questions for Monday's meeting were due in the
USAT office yesterday - a full week before the meeting.
What are the odds that questions asked get answered? They
probably won't. Funny thing is I remember in 2009, David
Askinas pulled the same deal, set the annual congress for a
place in COS where no one could find it - hardly anyway - at an
inconvenient time. He required all questions to be submitted in
writing and in the office by 4 pm on a particular day. Ironic
this, Bruce Harris personally hand-delivered all our questions
to the office and David still claimed he didn't get them so he
couldn't answer them.
Great question that deserves an answer - as once again the USAT
"word" means nothing when they do not do what they say they
will. Question from Ron Marlow:
Mr. Bruce Harris
CEO USA Taekwondo
And
Mr. Devin Johnson
Chair, Board of Directors
USA Taekwondo
October 27, 2014
Dear Sirs:
Almost a year ago an ethics complaint was filed alleging actions
by the Chair of the Board of Directors (BOD) and other directors
had engaged in action that constituted a conflict of interest as
defined in the USAT Bylaws. Eventually that complaint was
withdrawn after negotiations mediated by the Chair of the Ethics
Committee on the condition that the BOD and USAT Staff undergo
formal ethics training with an emphasis on conflict of interest.
About nine months ago another ethics complaint was filed
alleging actions by another BOD member that constituted a
conflict of interest. This complaint was also withdrawn after
negotiations with the Chair of the Ethics Committee on the
condition that the BOD and USAT Staff immediately undergo the
previously promised formal ethics training with an emphasis on
conflict of interest.
Have the Board of Directors and USAT Staff undergone formal
ethics training with an emphasis on conflict of interest? If so
when and where? If not, why not? If not, are there plans to
conduct the promised training ? and when?
Thank you.
