       USAT Biggest Problem

If you listen to the USAT BOD meetings you would think the #1
problem in the USAT is the ever present evil (if it is not to
their advantage) INTERNET CONSPIRACY! It is all lies, unless it
is to their advantage. David Askinas started the cry - It's a
Lie! but Askinas got fired when the USOC took the BOD in hand
and showed them audits and documents that all those internet
ramblings were true. Eric Parthen carried the banner, and lost
the Section 10 when all the internet ramblings were true. And
now we have the current CEO who also is attempting to blame the
Internet Conspiracies, the handful of malcontents, who don't
       understand.
This is where the #1 problem starts - those who don't
understand. They don't understand all these wonderful visions
because NO ONE COMMUNICATES in the USAT. The website doesn't get
updated, information doesn't flow and no one knows anything
unless they read the internet blogs because the USAT doesn't
share information and actively works to bury information.
I had a conversation recently with someone who pointed out to me
that at last year's convention, attended by maybe 100 members,
the CEO announced that the Cadets and Juniors would have to pay
part of their own way during the November BOD meeting. I
remember that BOD meeting, no one on the phone but a handful and
they couldn't hear through the static. I don't think there were
many spectators, a handful. So because they told 8 or 9 BOD
members, a couple of spectators and maybe 5 other people who
couldn't hear, the coaches and parents who are upset that they
didn't find out until Team Trials are in the wrong because they
didn't go to the convention. Now USAT didn't post it in the
qualification information or the website or even in the minutes
of the meeting, but the parents and coaches should have known
because less than 20 people knew. I won't even comment. The
Convention was a lousy idea that had a horrible turnout and they
are going to do it again - perhaps so that the members don't
come and don't learn what is happening and then the members get
blamed because they didn't spend a lot of money to do what? This
event falls just before Thanksgiving. Holidays cost money.
Tournaments cost money. The seminars were not even the whole
required seminar but the parents and coaches should have been
there at the BOD meeting for the whole 20 minutes so they could
hear that they would have to pay to send their kids on this
       trip.
USAT is good at that. "WE POSTED IT!" and sometimes they
actually do, only thing is it is not posted on the front page,
it is posted in some obscure area no one reads unless they know
       something is there.
I can't tell you if this is on purpose or what. All I know is
that the USAT brings all the internet conspiracies on themselves
because they refuse to communicate in a reasonable, effective
manner. That is the #1 problem in the USAT!
