CURRENT STATE OF THE SIMPLEXUS COMMUNITY!!!(please read!)

I don't know how long this will be but I have a few things i
wanted to say for a while. When I made Ace, I had plans for that
account. I wanted to be maxed, i wanted to pk, i wanted to boss
(so i started a drop list which is currently the most read
article on the forums), i wanted to be rank 1, i also wanted to
be a moderator (so i posted an application), but more
importantly i wanted to make friends. A really good friend i
made was Hal(but he no longer plays). I believe he was the first
Moderator in Simplexus. He was knowledgeable and an overall
badass. before he quit he was on his way to being the first
maxed player. Being good friends with Simplex and Hal, we talked
a lot about issues in Simplexus. We both suggested updates and
helped players around when Simplex was AFK(which we all know is
a lot). One day, as i was cutting a yew tree, Hal said he
couldnt play anymore. I asked why and he said he had IRL stuff
that would keep him too busy. He also gave me exciting news: he
referred me to Simplex to be a Moderator instead of him. I was
both sad and excited. So the next time i got on, Simplex tele'd
me to him and promoted me to Moderator. Being a Moderator for
Simplexus has been very rewarding and exciting. I had an
authority in the small community and all of the players then
knew me and liked me. They all respected what i had to say and
obeyed all of the rules. I tried not to be a jerk and to be just
another player because thats who i was. I had only been playing
a couple weeks and i wasn't even maxed yet. There were people
much higher than me on the leaderboards already haha. Ive seen
almost every player come and go. Some lasted a few seconds,
others still play today. I played with Kevin, Ducky (who bumped
me out of the top 3 players once haha), A K A, King, and 2 0 1
4. I also saw current players join such as Audi, Mikey, Sparc
mac, Killerdud380, Cold Hearts, Mr G r e e n, and Gatsby. (thats
right, i remember you when you all were wee little noobs running
around with your heads cut off). I really had a lot of fun on
the server and i try to play as much as i can. But recently a
big change happened. After being a Moderator for about a month,
Simplex finally told me to make a new account with my first
name, Duncan. He then gave that account a gold crown (the symbol
for an administrator). I was so speechless and i started
freaking out. Finally i had achieved something past what i had
intentionally set off to do. I didnt just become a moderator, i
became an Admin. I've been Simplex's number 2 for over a month
and it had been an absolute blessing. I like to think that i
helped shape this server. That i wasnt just another player but a
role model and a friend to others. sure im not rank 1 or i didnt
get maxed the fastest. and i definitely wasnt the first player
to join. But i was loyal, dedicated, and i helped whenever i
could. The Simplexus community is really something special.
Theyre not just pixels that can talk, theyre friends. I want
this server to grow. I want pkers to join. i want pures to play.
i want clans to form. i want to hit population milestones. We
recently hit 10 players online at one time even though i wasnt
on for that! I want to hit 25, then 50, then 100, and i want to
keep growing. I want important updates, not just updates where
people snap their fingers and they get what they want. I want
this server to remain like it was when i joined. I want new
players to fall in love with the same game that i fell in love
with. I want to keep on being not only Simplex's number two, but
a friend to all players, new and old. With everyones help, we
can grow this server. we can keep making videos, telling our
friends, and voting. Just be patient guys, people will come just
as you did. trust me i know, ive been around a while. I want to
thank everybody who's helped Ace complete his goals and I want
you all to know that i dont plan on quitting any time soon. Im
in this for the long run and i want you guys with me. and when
more players join, then we can have more mods. (and i know its
selfish haha but i dont want any more admins for a while :P) I
guess thats all i wanted to say. Sorry it was so long. Lemme
know what you think and even post your own stories! Thanks again

Moving Ace, truly. This is only the beginning for Simplexus.
There are still bugs, skills to do redo and as I learn more in
college I will be able to do more on the developing end of
Simplexus. It's stories like this that give me huge ambitions
for this little server. Can't wait to see what's in store for
Simplexus and I'm glad we have this awesome community at the
base of it all. Thank you everyone and you Ace for this.

Truly amazing story and also so very inspiring. Not only did you
prove that total level doesn't determine the player, but also
inspires to stay dedicated and loyal to this amazing server and
rewards will pay off, Some expected others not. I plan on being
here until the end and am so happy to be apart of this
community, and to know someone truly dedicated is just a safe
insurance on how big the server will reach. Respect is loyalty
and your the perfect example of that ( :

nice story, you couldn't have made it better :)
after quick reading half of it i saw my name commin up :o
went back to the top and carefully and slowly took the whole
story up in my mind.
its very touching when someone so far away somewhere on the
world, but so close in the game care for eachother, even if you
don't know that person in real life. if the community in the
world would be the same as in the game, it would be a whole
better world :)
thank you for your inspiring story, it made me feel a bit more
connected with Simplexus.
