Songs in a different Genre that you like

Most of us listen to a certain genre. Some of us venture out and
find songs in other genres that we didn't think we would like.
Do you have any like that?

I listen and like many genres. Rap has many types not all are
enjoyable to me, but have found some I enjoy. Some of the types
are incorporated into rock songs. Like some of Linkin' Park
songs. But, I have found others I enjoy.

My main musical influence came from the music from the late 50s
through the early 70s.
I was fortunate to be introduced to some other forms of music in
my adult years. I'm not sure what genre they fall under but some
of my favorite artists are Loreena McKennitt, Gaelic Storm,
Blackmore's Night and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

We shouldn't get hung up on genres. We will listen to our
favorites and listen to others and find some we enjoy. I often
just search for a theme or "songs about" something to listen.
With YouTube and other sites, it is fun to find new things.
I love Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Have seen them live and got a
cd.

I have also seen Trans-Siberian live. I put it up there as one
of the best concerts that I have seen. I have all their cds. I
wish they would record some new music.

That would be nice if they would. They used to have two separate
groups when they were on tour to cover more area. I miss seeing
them around Christmas.
