       Finnish progressive sectors? From the
       left, those who are far away often seem to see the issue

       authoritarian, homophobic, anti-feminist and now imperialist

       It is an old discussion with the tankies [the "tankist" left
       that justified the Soviet invasions during the Cold War] . In
       Finland, what has happened with the invasion of Ukraine is that
       the opinion favorable to joining NATO has risen drastically. And
       the same thing happened with the perception, among the
       population, that Russia is a threat to the very existence of the
       Finnish nation. There are sectors of the left in different parts
       of the world that accept the Kremlin's narrative in a surprising
       way. In Finland that happens on an almost negligible average.
       And there is an additional interesting element: the Finnish left
       has always been much tougher on Russia than its European
       counterparts.
