cz 455 is good, ive got one but havnt really used it much, been
too busy making a stock for it ::)
tbh i find theres very little difference between any 17hmrs -
ive owned a mossberg and a marlin as well, plus ive used cz
452's and an anschutz, all shoot well once theyre run in. the
only difference imo between any of them price wise is build
quality, usually the dearer ones are a bit better qualit, te cz
455 feels like you could drive a tank over it ;)

Thanks for the advise, was looking at the cz the other day and
like the thumbhole stock on them and they have a bit of weight
to them so they dont feel like a bb gun. The price of them was
around 450 which i didnt think was to scary. Going to be
spending half that again on a good scope to go with it.
       Cheers Simon

one word of advice is try it out with the thumbhole first if you
can, even just play with it in the shop. i love the look of the
thumbholes but after i bought the gun i found it hard to get a
good grip on the stock, not a major issue as i just started
making another stock for it, but it means ive had the gun since
new year and only had it out twice :-\
       good luck anyway

I will try it out again in the shop before i lift the wallet
out, cheers for the help will let you know what happens in the
       near future,
       Cheers simon

I tried the 455 thumbhole in the shop, and instantly wanted it.
But they couldn't get one with screw cut for at least 4 months,
all had sold out, including the importer.
So I ordered a 452, got a Boyds thumbhole stock, and mounted
that, plus did a trigger job on it, so its as good or better
       than a 455 now ;D
CZ are built like a tank, and I have two of them ::)
DEFINATELY worth getting. And if you're not happy with the
trigger pull, trigger kits are cheap (about £13.00 posted) and
       easy to install
If you don't famy fitting it yourself, then lots here can fit
it, if need be I'll do it for you ;)

I ordered mine from Canada, took 10 days and totall cost was
about £13-£14.00 (Canadian dollar and US dollar about the same
       round $1.60-$1.70 to the £1.00 )

Very efficient, full range of springs and pins (I used the third
STRONGEST) and even that is ultra light but stands the drop
       test.
Also instructions included, but if you can't do it, bring it up
and I'll do it as I have a full gunsmiths screwdriver, hammer,
       and punch set
       I'm in Garvagh

Been out three nights, but froze my nuts off for zilch. Foxes
EXTREMELY lamp shy due to poachers lamping and missing. 200
metres, a flash of a DIMMED lamp, and they are gone :(
