17 Hornady Zero Chart

Hi Guys,
Just for your info;
I have drawn up a simple chart for any 17 shooters, it is
working on a 50 yard zero.
You can see that this round then comes back into zero at
100yards and is simply adjusted as per chart depending on your
scope.

I use MPBR and zero at 125 metres, which gives me zero all the
way out to 168 metres ;D

good job, just bear in mind that 17 grain rounds have a bit of a
different trajectory to 20 grain rounds. ballistic calculators
are handy, tho use them as a guide, every rifle and ammo
combination can give different results ;)

The CCI 17 and 20 grain rounds have an almost identical
trajectory to 200 metres, just the 17 shoots an inch higher from
50 metres compared to the 20 grain, all the way to 200 metres.
So I zero bang on at 126 metres with the 20 grain, and the 17
grain I just aim an inch lower if I have to use them

17hmr (Hornby) the new 17 super magnum rimfire is Winchester,
and the 17 centrefire is Remington ;D

Yep, there's that one too, but doubt it would be that as ammo is
hard to come by for it at the moment I think (same with the
super magnum 17 rimfire)
They seem to be bringing stacks of new 17 calibres out at the
moment :o

Sorry for the confusion, the original post was for the 0.17mhr
rimfire, shown below, but you are all correct.
The 0.17hmr hornady is a great round, devastating power,
accuracy and destruction but as said above, my chart was only a
guide;
When taking into account your own personal gun, windage, etc its
much about getting to know your own rifle where one or two
clicks may matter.
I took a shot at 200yards using this guide and missed low by an
inch but as usual the rabbit was gone so will compensate with a
few clicks less next time.
Here's a question for any shooting experts or physics experts; I
was shooting downhill in prone position, with a solid rest and
zeroed rifled.
It was a very steep decline into a valley, so steep I would
actually say approx 40 degrees down from horizontal, nearly
falling forward upside down. Should you allow less compensation
for a shot like this? Will the round drop more?
I know basic physics etc mass & gravity.
Don't want to hear the tonne of feathers/bricks joke lol.
But will a round drop more at a steep decline compared to
horizontal zeroing?
The original chart was for this round, but again only a guide,
lets not re-invent gravity lol

It won drop faster lol (not that you could measure) but people
tend to over or under shoot when things are running downhill or
uphill. I've never suffered from his, but its a known fact and
taught against in most armed forces
