I know I had previously told you to be patient, but 4 months is
a bit long. I know a guy in the same boat as you who put in for
a variation early December. He is still waiting. There have been
a few cases where the delay has been because the applicants
paperwork has been lost, and the FEB didn't want to admit it.
They kept replying that they were processing it, until they
could no longer hide the fact that they had lost the paperwork.
Seems a bit strange how anyone who has applied for a variation
in the new year has had little problems, yet therr are now 2
confirmed cases where the variation has been applied for in
december, yet no word has been heard about them.

Four months is a disgraceful amount of time for anyone to wait
on a service (for which you paid £26) to be completed. I once
had to wait over 5 months for a simple variation to be processed
and got the usual exucses 1= in line for processing 2=person
dealing with it is off sick 3=person dealing with it is now on
holidays 4=its being looked at by senior management 5=waiting on
a report coming back. I asked to speak to a senior manager and I
finally got the paperwork back. I reluctantly had to apply for
another variation because I came across too good a deal to pass
up ;D. I got the paperwork back in 4weeks. I reckon it depends
on who is processing your application. Just my opinion mate.
Might be worth asking for a senior manager to contact you with
exact details explaining the delay? All the best.

I'm not being nosey and I don't expect you to answer this, it's
just a factor you should consider, but have you or anyone in
your family/household ever been in trouble with the police, even
a lot of years ago ?
They might be doing a lot of checks ?
That's just an opinion, I am probably completely wrong

I'm in BASC. They have an office based in Lisburn. Contacted
them for advice a few times and they were more than helpful. The
girl in the office (think her name is Laura) is switched on to
the rights of shooters. You can pay by direct debit so it eases
the pain in paying. If a member introduces you then you both are
entered into a draw for a cracking shotgun each.

Think its bout £7 per month and they were more than willing to
contact lisnasharragh on my behalf. The regional director (Tommy
maybe) seems to have a good working relationship with
lisnasharragh. Might help speed thing up
