first trout of 2013

I went out this mornin for an hour to see what the craic was, it
was dam cold I know that much but I fished for an hour and had 3
fish this was the first one of the year, it had a bid mark on it
like a cormorant had had ago at it but it was healthy enough to
put back, I don't kill fish anyway unless they're bleedin, the
talk around the lake was that there were some good fish up to
4lb caught over the weekend, I would guess the lake was fished
hard over Fri,Sat,Sun and I'd say there was probably over 500
fish took out up to today. Roll on the warm weather and gettin
rid of this bloody flu/cold .

our club has a wee lake near Banbridge - we stock it 4/5 times a
year, it's open for day tickets if anyone want's a day let me
know and I'll get you sorted

sorry brendy i'm only seein your post now :-\ it was 1.5lb
although the pics makes it look smaller than it was, they're
stocked up to 4lb this time.

yeah its a great wee spot ! I fish it a lot, there were over
20 fishin it yesterday cause the wind had changed from the East
to NW for the first time in a month, there were a few fish bein
caught too.
