Can see both sides .. But if numbers are capped to say 16 it
means ya shoot once a month ...but as I said it would be nive
just to head out on a wim ...

yes mate thats the way i would like it aswell altough id prob
not be tere on a saturday because i normally shoot ducks
saturday but i think £40 would be plenty to pay for it aswell
wouldnt want to be paying anymore

i wont join the club lads but good luck to the 1s who do, i hope
yous sort sumthing out as a system to what days you shoot if
yous get the lease, but i see problems already cos sum have said
they couldnt make a saturday and orthers just would like to go
for a shot on a whim well i was in a wee club a few years ago
and this was the very reason the club fell threw cos every1 fell
out cos the men who worked could only make a saturday and the
men who didnt work could shoot it anytime they wanted which was
the very thing they did they got to the stage they walked the
shoot on a monday and friday which meant they where getting
double the shooting for the same money as the men who just got
on a saturday, there was also a duck pond in the shoot and again
with the dark evenings working men could just make a saturday
but the orthers then had say a real rough blowly evening midweek
so they went and shot the pond so as i say the club fell threw
and acutually sum of the members came to blows over it and
people who had been friends all their life still dont speak to
each orther because of it, as i say i wont be in the club but
hope it works out but i can see problems arise from it if every1
dosent agree to a day/system that suits every1, i know its only
a few quid in a year and sumwhere different but i wouldnt want
to work all week and then drive say a hour or so to the forest
only to find the place was tramped and shot all week by orther
people as the woodcock will soon bugger off if the place is
gonna get hammered on a daily bais and will leave the place for
nothing , sorry to be doom and gloom but as i say good luck to
the club if it gets up and going

So if there won't be much chance for shooting woodcock what's up
there to shoot, pigeons,fox rook rabbits??? I can shoot that for
free on my permission, and the price is rising from £20-£30 now
talk of £40 lol think I'm going to leave the Forrest shoot lads
and concentrate on learning to shoot first , thanks anyways

If anybody else is willing to take this on as their project feel
free. I have got the ball rolling and can help further if
required but i see signs of it starting to fall apart before it
is off the ground. I can help out but Im not doing it alone!

I'm still keen for it to go ahead and willing to help out anyway
I can. Work comittments render me unavaiable every saturday so
would not be wanting to shoot every weekend anyway

Right I now require the full names of everybody interested in
going ahead with this as i have to put them on the shoot
management plan. I also need 3 people to agree to sign for the
lease if successful and one person to be the main contact for
the forestry service.
I need all information before Sunday night as this needs to go
by monday. Once I have all the names we will see how many we
have and will need to decide on the amount we wish to bid per
year as a group. This will then be divided equally among the
group.
Shoot it whenever you want, no restriction to days but we will
keep the managment plan as is. If you are sending me an email
please include your username so I know who you are.

woodcock a sugestion for ya, im in for this other forest but a
thought would be to keep ur offer sugestions off the open forum
and just between urselfs. as the guys that took it last year
could be on here aswell ;). ill put this to all of us
interested.

I personally am not going ahead with this anymore. Interest has
dwindled considerably and I have only five names for the
application. Thats leaving it heading for £60 per person per
year. Not worth it in my opinion. Anyone who wishes to carry on
using the shoot management plan I posted feel free to do so. So
in the words of a Mr Duncan Bannatyne, "For this reason am oot"
