223 & 243 info plz

Can I or can I not have any of these rifles with or without a
deer stalking license??? And what would be the best for foxing??
I've heard as long as I put down on the app it's for vermin
(fox) and Not deer I can ::)

Same here mate my FAO is very helpfull she said my land 50 acre
was perfect hence prob why the giving me my 22 rimfire as first
gun, but I was told in a gun shop befor for a 243 I need a dsc
but not sure

you wont get granted for a .243 for foxes , the likes of .220
swift .222 .223 and the .22 250 will get granted for fox
provided your land is suitable for the calibre

223 is ok for foxes but as someone mentioned on here a 243 is
illegal for foxes.

No way u will get a 243 for fox
Biggest you will get is 22-250
I would defo go for a 223, plenty of ammo for it at a reasonable
price, and if you reload your own as I do the brass is plentiful
and cheap compared to hard to come by 22-250 brass plus less
powder in a 223 case making it cheaper again !!
Rem 700 is a great gun, I looked at 1 but ended up buying a
browning A bolt as it was a lot handier to carry.
I highly recommend the browning !

Anything larger than one of the 22 calibre centre fires is
impossible to get granted for fox without having a dsc1. Also
they won't grant you one for deer either without a dsc. anything
above 22 requires either dsc, or range only grants.
I just bought a CZ550 in 22-250, and its a fantastic bit of kit
Detachable 4 round box mag, ventilated and laminated wood stock
(Boyds) as standard, and a single set trigger for very fine
shots. The trigger is also fully adjustable in both uses
(standard and set) for pull pressure, drag, and slack

What u think of the sako 80 in 22/250 anyone no any info on it??
Watched Chinese water deer being shot with one on the shooting
show looks good
Can u get plastic head ballistics in 22/250 ??

Have never shot the Sako 80 but Sako are a good make. I have a
CZ550 (the 527 is also good) and swear by those, but most guns
made nowadays are good, its horses for courses.
The 22-250 has a good range of ammo, but like any round will
depend on the rifling twist as to waht grain to use. You can get
solid, hollow point, ballistic tip, or soft point in 22-250, so
basically anything in 22 cal is available I. 22-250
