Ye like i say i didnt intend to leave it there at all, although

address, twas in a cabinet but not secure, there was no other
FAC holder at the address only me, no one else is in bother!

there may be a chance with the change of address, you have 14
days to notify the chief constable of a change of address !
whats the score with the other fac holder at the address, you
said he was away but didnt take his gun. was there another
cabinet in the house secured to the wall ?
forget about other peoples stories and outcomes, it's always "i
had a friend...... or i heard of a boy that blah blah blah" you
never get the true facts in these circumstances.
Firearms branch look at each case individually
What part of the country are you in ?
speak to your local FEO (politely) and tell them about the
change of address, but hopefully you would of done that when
they took your other guns
i hope it works out for you, keep everything crossed

Hey sorry to hear about the situation hope you get it sorted.
Like devil_bri said I wouldn't worry about other peoples stories
as everyone is different. I will ask on another shooting forum
I'm a member of and see if they give any advice.
I would say tho that they will take your FAC but you could
appeal it.

Ye i have done all that i have informed the FAO of ALL the
facts, there was no other FAC owner in the house, it was a house
i had just moved into, but my FAC was up for renewal and i was
waiting for it to come into effect before i send the change of
address away, i was gonna do all the paper work in one go! I had
the change of address form filled in but waiting for renewal to
send both away together! I think i will lose my FAC but i hope
to God its not indifinite, that would kill me :'(

dont know what will happen with your situation but what you
should of done when you realised what had happend you should of
bolted the cabinet to the wall and then rang the peelers, just
to add if BASC OR SACS thinks your case has less than 50%
chance of winning then they wont go to court to fight for you
and i know that from personal experiance SACS bummed and blowed
about my 100k legal fees to help fight in court but when they
seen i was on a hiding to nothing they said sorry we wont pay to
go to court as for BASC well they where a waste of time from the
start
