anyone ever used a hawk/falcon decoy for shooting crows? ive
been meaning to try it for ages but i never got around to it.
bought a decoy for the garden a couple of months ago to stop
starlings sh*tting all over the place, but moving house in the
next week or two so just wondering if the hawk would be any
good? and if so, any tips to get the most out of it? thanks

Fox tail and a dead crow on a magnet works well

thanks, ive spent over £5000 on shooting related stuff in the
last 6 months so dont want to buy anything else for a while lol
usually just stick a few crow decoys out, works ok, but just
wondering about the hawk decoy, would be less to carry ???

I have a very large plus a small owl decoy, and to be honest
never found them to work very well. A mix of pigeon and crow
decoys seems to be the best, although I have noticed the crows
mobbing buzzards and kites, so might be worth getting one of
       those :-\
Still, at the moment can't get out anyhow, so have to wait a
while and then maybe decide whether to get one or not. Must have
spent £10,000.00 on shooting related stuff I. The last 12
months, so enough for the moment lol. ::)

Tried using an Owl as a decoy once. The Crows were laughing as
       they were flying past it.

Maybe it only works at certain times of year, like if there's
young about? Or maybe in certain areas, like where the crows are
nesting? Or maybe it's another one of those theories that
everyone has head but that's never proven lol

Apparently the yanks do well with owl and hawk decoys, but here
I think maybe you would need a dead crow at its feet to get a
reaction, or put it at the top of a lofting pole ?
