Was it just me or did the pigoens not bother turning up...

Did anyone bag a decent number of pigeons over the last three
months? I seem to have managed to miss them on barley stubble?
Any stories to tell/ share and potential reasons for the lack of
sport (apart from poor fieldcraft and being a lousy shot- LOL).

Shot 50 over rape stubble could of been more but i had a home
for only that amount.
One of the reasons for lack of pigeons is to many fields cut for
them to chose from,plus pigeon shooting is all about
surveillance,you have to hunt for feeding pigeons,flight lines
etc,and once you find them get on them quick as a change in wind
direction or weather can change flight lines and feeding areas.

Don't do any pigeon shooting but have seen large flocks in
Benevenagh, Limavady area this past few weeks.

When I was into pigeons we used to go up to Scrabo Tower and
have a look through the bino's to see where the were feeding you
could actually see them coming across from Scotland on a clear
day.

think its more down to big contractors doin big area at one time
u cant tie them down to one field or farm

FFS there are enough nuts out there that will shoot what flies
past the, don't give them a decoy lol
