Cracking rifle mate. I have one very simular and it
never lets me down. Super accurate with a good
       wee scope on it.
       Enjoy.

       Totally disgusted with Firearms Branch
I had a simple Variation to my FAC with another shotgun on. I
submitted my application on 29th Jan & I received my letter back
mid Feb which allowed me to purchase Cartridges, I know of two
other friend who submitted after myself, One was a variation
same as mine & the other was a new application. They have had
theirs weeks now & Im still waiting.
I have been trying to keep the dealer sweet who wants his Final
payment by saying it should be here anyday soon.
I find it totally unacceptable that we have to pay for the
increase ( BTW mine is in that long it was at the old price) in
       fees and no comeback.
I have been in touch with my FEO who I must thank but they say
it can take 6 weeks to 6 months.
Please can there be a benchmark set here,
       Any Thoughts.
       ???

Hi DuckReaper i sent in application for .22 air rifle before i
bought .22 rimfire it took 5 days i had fac back before i had
the letter telling me they had received it,but 22 rimfire took
about 7 weeks. If you phone them up they are actually very
helpful with information on your application you might find out
whats holding it up,anything is worth a try.

Just make sure you ring them during their new contact hours.
Think it's something like a 2 hour window per day. Apparently
all the phone calls they receive are causing the long delays in
issuing certificates. Can't process them if they're on the
       phone.

From Tuesday 3rd May, The Police Service of Northern Ireland’s
Firearms and Explosives Branch will change its telephone access
to the public. The Branch will be available to take calls
between the hours of 2-4pm Monday to Friday only. All calls to
the Branch should be made through the non-emergency number 101.

If the case is its the phone calls thats been causing the long
delays over the years, now that they have identified the problem
they should stop taking all calls. Then after a month or two
nobody would need to phone as all applications would be sorted
in no time at all, who would of thought that the one single act
of not taking phone calls could have solved all the problems
this department has had for many years.
