Few hours at the rabbits

Managed to get a few hours at the rabbits for my local farmer.
First time out shooting in a couple of months. Was really
surprised
the scope is still bang on zero. Managed 4 rabbits, could have
got more
but spent more time talking to the farmer ::)
Next time I'll bring the phone and get a few pics.

Well done sir, I am off work for 12 days starting on Friday
morning at 06:30 so I hope to give them a bit of a plink. Going
out this Saturday again with Duckdoo so fingers crossed we get
some pigeons.

Keep at it. What shells are you using on the pigeons?

When I picked up the gun was given Eley Olympic blue. Got them
free but might be getting cartridges on Friday. What would you
recommend??

I use 30g 6s on the crows. My friends use 280 7.5
with success too.

I've dropped loads of pigeons using 28gm 7's, though I do tend
to only take close comfortable shots when using them. For
everything else I use 32gm no.6 (Gamebore black gold). They're
an expensive cartridge, but I do like them. I find Eley
cartridges leave a lot of unburnt powder behind in the chamber
and mechanism, whereas Gamebore cartridges don't.
