       Mistral Shotgun

Has anyone heard or used one of these ? Just on with my firearms
dealer who has a 2nd had one.

I have not seen it yet myself but described as good order for
its age ( I don't know how old it is). As far as know its a
Mistral ( Spanish he thinks ) 12 g non ejector , think it may be
side by side but not sure.

       Thanks

Never used a Mistral, so can't comment on them. However, what I
would advise is to be careful what you buy. Some dealers have a
collection of old and cheap shotguns in the back that aren't
really fit for much more use, and if you show up without knowing
a thing or two about shotguns, you could find yourself leaving
with a lemon. Do you want a side by side? Or are you just
looking for a shotgun in general?

I think an over and under. A work horse like a Baikal would do
me to get back into the way if things.
I am after something to get going into the wild fowling side if
things. I am sure there are even guns going to be handed in for
       destruction in the near future.
I have just git my. 22 lr and would hate to tell the wife I am
niw spelling out another lump of money. Lol

Lanber O/U shotguns are spot on. I owned a Baikal SBS for a
while and really wish I hadn't sold it. As for ejectors, you'd
be better off with a non-ejector set up for wildfowling. Some
shotguns are sold and supplied as ejectors, but can be made into
non-ejectors with the turn of a screw. Really handy feature to
have, and some Baikals come this way.

Spot on Cannon. I have bought a Marocchi non ejector. FAC is
away for the variation fingers crossed it wont take forever to
       get it back.

Hopefully it doesn't take too long to arrive. Was your variation
       still £26?

Yes it will be, anyhow that's what I put on the cheque.
!!!!!!!!!!!! I think at the end of the month, that being
February is when it goes up. I happened to be at the
RFD(Loughview Guns) saw it and thought I may as well just get a
cheapish DBBL gun that works and get it hopefully put onto the
certificate. Its serviceable and shoots and will do until I want
or see something else. For the amount of use it will get I am
sure it will do quite a while.
I am going to try a few pigeons as my father-in-law and my wife
enjoy eating them. The bunnies will get a pop too if I can find
some in the cold weather, again my in-laws and wife love them.
