Hi guys, I have seen the hydro dipping post.
Now, can anyone tell me how long the process takes ?
Can it be done while waiting ?
Thanks

It depends on how much prep work needs doing. The process itself
is very quick. It only takes a few seconds to do a water
transfer. You can also get additional coats of lacquer applied
to the water transfer to protect the finish. Again this doesn't
take long. What are you looking to get dipped?

I would expect that it could be done while you wait. Stocks are
fairly easy to do, and they don't need much prep. If you remove
the screws and any other bits that you don't want dipped, you'll
have it done in no time.

There's a place in Lisburn and a place in Antrim. It can be
expensive though. Last time I checked it was £125 just for the
stock. That was a couple of years ago so it has maybe changed.
Check out 3d-dip. They're based over here and can dip most items

£125 dear Lord, I might just rub it down and apply a coat of wax
or dye. Lol
I hopefully won't be busy in work fingers crossed tomorrow and I
will check a b d see what prices I can come up with.
