       Rabbits at night

Hi guys, any of you shoot rabbits at night? If so, do you lamp
them or use night vision? Obviously the lamp is cheaper but do
you find rabbits are lamp shy? Is it worth saving your money for
a night vision kit instead of a lamp?

Can get some basic night vision equipment for cheap, either home
made (see youtube)but better off with NV uk on facebook
       apparently do good stuff.
Torches are good enough to start but if you use them on the same
permission often enough they get a bit wary of it.

Not sure what I'm for doing. Nv seems a bit expensive to start
with. not sure if I'd even get out at night either. u got any
pics of ur lamp kit. Is it a lamp to mount above your scope? How
       much u looking for it?

Go on to ebay get a t20 torch for £30 and a mount for top of
scope and your good to go
T20 torch will easy give you 100 metres beam and can come in
different colours white, red blue and green last 2 mostly for
foxes were abouts are you might be someone near by to take you
out and show you theit set up alot depends of the type of rifle
       and quarry your going after

       Gotta weigh up your options.
A good spotter lamp unit will cost around £120 new, if your
hammering the fields every other night the rabbits will soon get
lamp shy and bolt the minute the light hits them.
A good night vision unit from nvuk will cost £182 for complete
setup with a t50 torch (good for 200yds). these torches can have
the pill inside changed from ir to white/red/blue/amber light if
you needed to go out some night without night vision. (that's
pill colour and not just a plastic cover which reduces range)
In my opinion, nightvision is a far better option as you will
not spook the quarry, and if added you can record your shoots
       with a mini dvr.
You also have to remember that the dark nights are only around
the corner, so you will be shooting at night!
