       Bi-pod for 17hmr
       By: Pauldevlin84 Date: July 2, 2015, 11:41 am

Hi guys, I was looking for some of your own experiences here.
Got myself a 17hmr there a few weeks ago and just yesterday got
a new permission with more rabbits on it than I have ever seen
in my whole life lol it's bunny heaven... For me not them!
Anyway in practice I have always been leaning on something to
steady my shot, but obviously it's not so easy when your out and
about. Last nite I bagged 11 bunnies but most shots were either
leaning on fence post or in the prone position resting on my
back pack. I would only take a free standing shot if I was 30
yards or less (I'm just starting out!) was thinking of going
down the line of a bi-pod and I have notice they seem to come in
       3 sizes - 6" to 9", 9" to 13" or 13" to 22". I was tempted by
the 13" to 22" as I think at that height you could sit down
comfortably on the ground and shoot away. What do you guys use
and why? Any help here would be great! Thanks guys!

I liked the 9-13 for prone shooting!
But find a set of sticks much more useful in the field!very
enoying when you can see the rabbits then when you lie dwn there
just over the brow or behind something!

Are the sticks a good job? I assumed I would need to keep a
steady hand on them as well. I can't help wondering if the 13"
to 22" bipod would be worth taking a punt on, as it should be a
gud size to sit down and shoot.

Yeah i think there great!take a bit of practice but once you get
used to them there dead on!
Ive a set of quad sticks which are rock steady but the two
       legged once are good too!

You can make your own quad sticks for £10 using heavy duty green
plastic coated garden canes from b&q and a few rubber O rings
       It's a gift !
       Google it
