Variation waiting times.

Hi guys. I am just wondering if anyone has any idea of how long
it is taking for variations to put a new firearm on is taking at
the moment ? My application is in 8 weeks today and received
confirmation of application from FEB on April 24. I have not
even heard anything back from from my FEO about an interview
date. Any information greatly appreciated guys. Thanks.

Benny, I put mine in on or around 3rd April an mine came thru
the door last week. That was with 4 variations. If your cabinet
has been checked before you might not even get an interview.
Unless it's for a center fire for over the fields.

Hi Chris. Thanks for the information about your waiting times.
Am I correct in saying your variation took around 10 weeks ?
I have had my cabinets inspected several times before and I have
had my centerfire rifle for foxing a fair few years now. I just
assumed that you were automatically interviewed once you put in
your variation to add on a new firearm. I may not have to have
an interview if I am lucky so hopefully that may speed up the
process a little but in any of my previous dealings with my FEO
he has always been extremely helpful to me.

Aye, about 10 weeks.
I've put in tons of variations an only been interviewed again
when I went for a centre fire and when the FEO thought my
cabinet was getting a bit full.
Hope it turns up soon for ya.

I have an air rifle on my FAC and got a rim fire added there.
Sent off application in the last week of April and got the cert
back on Friday, so took about 8 weeks for me. Felt like 8 months
FFS! But maybe I'm impatient....
