Hi
The NITSA (Northern Ireland Target Sports Association) ranges
just the other side of Banbridge would be perfect for you.
They are on the left hand side of the dual carriageway so very
easy to find. you will find all the details on the website -
www.nitsa.org.uk
There are 5 ranges with some excellent facilities for both
pistol and rifle, there really is nowhere else in the country
that comes close to it.
NITSA's qualified instructors also run regular courses from
basic gun handling and safety for beginners to more advanced
courses for IPSC competitors.
Check it out and best of luck with your new sport!

Thanks for the reply. Iv tried email and calling them but cant
get a response on membership fees and how to join. Are you a
member yourself? Any idea on fees and using club firearms to
begin with?

Call Jim on 028 3082 1826 in 'The Reload Shop'
That's the on-range gun shop he will sort you out.
The club has a wide range of guns available for members use.
The club is currently open from 1.30pm to 3.30 pm Tue, Wed, Thu,
& Fri, and 10.00am to 5.0pm on Saturdays. with the longer
evenings here now it will be open from 4pm to 9pm on Wed.
evenings. If you ring between these times you will get him.
Visitor days are the first and third Saturdays of the month, you
can have a tour of the range any other day but these are the
only days a visitor can shoot.
I am a member myself, if you have any problem contacting Jim let
me know and I'll book you in for the next visitor day.

Been reading up on it seems like a great place. Been on the
phone to Jim. Hes asked to send an email with as much info about
myself. Anyone done this before is it just basics like address
etc or more in depth. Not to sure myself.

Don't worry too much about the email, its just to get basics
like whether you have a FAC, have shooting experience with
another club or elsewhere etc. I makes a difference to
probation with the club but to be honest hard to beat a 5 minute
face to face chat.
Every club will have their fan or detractors and the best idea
is to get a feel for yourself. There are no other clubs which
provide the range of pistol competitions however and as a member
owned club it feels good to know the money you spend is
reinvested into improving facilities for all the members.
