whats best to use to refinish stock

picked up an Aya Yeoman for the odd dander about the fields. the
varnish has worn away in areas. have this stripped off it now
and just wondering what people recommend to use to finish it.
wouldnt be varnished again. are the likes of the Truoil/Napier
etc etc finish kits the best things to use or is there anything
else out there which would do the same if not better?

If you're in it for the long haul, boiled linseed oil, 50/50 mix
with (real proper, distilled gum) turpentine, must be boiled
linseed and proper turps, rub some in with your palm, wipe off
and leave for a day, once a day for a week, once a week for a
month, once a month for a year then once a year after that. By
then it'll beguin to look nice. If you want a shiny, quick
answer, tru-oil, watch a few people putting it on via Youtube,
there is a tecnique but not much skill.
