advice for decoying crows
By: Chris_232 Date: November 6, 2014, 7:28 am

looking some advice on starting to possibly take a shot or two
at the crows when the time suits and the wind finally dies down,
Looking into buying deoying gear but having so much choice on
the market its hard to decide what may be effective and what
could be a bust. have had limited luck using a few homemade
decoys for a laugh have bought a few flocked crow decoys and a
magpie but was looking into possibly a bouncer, flapper or
pecker for a dead rabbit. Any advice great or small would be
appreciated
The scene if can be pictured is a cattle house in the corner of
the field next to the farmyard in which in the dark through a
slightly opened door on top of round straw bails i postion
myself from this position looking on onto the grazed grass field
further there is a hedgerow full of trees that runs the entire
length of the ditch of the field to the bottom with nesting
places top and bottom. From this postion i can shoot onto the
grazed ground and also to the tress in the hedgerow.
Thanks Chris

My friend use many types of decoys,, none of them really work,,
a large patch of stale bread broken up and scattered does the
best.

You'll get a few magpies in with magpie decoys but the crows
won't sit long enough with decoys.
Best find a place the feed often and bait the best place near ur
advantage point
Always found a few bit of rubbish with stones set on them stop
it from blowing away with b good scattered b about It works well
for crows cat food work the best for some strange reason.
