HI ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS WHY A CZ WOULD BE MISFIRING ITS A 17
HMR SHOOTING HORNADY
AMMO YOU COULD FIRE 5 SHOTS NO PROBLEM THEN THE NEXT SHOT JUST
BE A CLICK THE AMMO
WOULD BE MARKED BUT WONT FIRE. I RECKON ITS EITHER FIRING PIN OR
THE AMMO. GUN STILL
UNDER WARRANTY.

Hi BunnyHunter
The misfire is due to no primer in the part of the rim of the
round chambered reload it and you will find it will be ok
provided the firing pin dont hit the exact same spot on the rim.

THANKS FOR THAT HAVE TRY THAT SOMETIMES WORKED HOWEVER WHEN
SPENDING 11.50 OR SO ON AMMO YOU WOULD EXPECT IT TO WORK TOO
MANY MISFIRES FOR MY LIKING VERY FRUSTATING WHEN LINE UP ON A
RABBIT AND ALL YOU HEAR IS A CLICK. MIGHT TRY ANOTHER TYPE OF
AMMO.
ANY REPORTS ON FEDERAL AMMO.

I'm sick of my hmr e every time I take it out there a problem
with the ammo.
From failing to ignite to shity groups
I had one years ago and back then no problems half inch groups
all day long comes down to ammo being made faster and faster the
quality is not there anymore.

I must be the only man in the country whose hmr actually shoots.
Approx 1000 rounds and only one hang fire, and that was about 3
years ago.

Looking around for one at the minute but being put off by this
thread, is it a common problem or just a few isolated cases?
Flatliner what 17hmr do you use?

CZ 452 American and using Hornady 17gr V-max at the minute cos
its cheap, and shoots every bit as well as the more expensive
Federal.

Get a. 22 only cause hmr ammo is pish at the min.
I've spent a fortune trying to get mine to shoot as good as my
old one.
It's a cz452 16" stainless zinc or Wat ever makes it silver.
Exact rifle I had before but sold it to found the 223.
I've tried Hornady 8 different boxes with different serial
numbers.
Winchester at least 10 boxes
God knows how many boxes of federal.
Thousands of rounds through it.
I've fitted a timney trigger to it £180 :(
My old hmr was amazing 100m 3/4" groups
all day long.
Rabbit head shots out to 135m no problem.
New one 5 shot group 3 in same hole then 2 off by up to 2".
Next group will be one hole next could be all over the place 2"
spread.
Thought it was my rifle but me and four pals went out all with
cz rifles 2x 452 s 2x455s nobody was getting consistent groups.
We swapped ammo tried each others guns didn't make a difference
the long barrel cz was a tiny bit better but I mean 2 mm smaller
groups than other cz rifles that day.
But we all decided that the ammo was junk as four rifles
couldn't be damaged.
We all have pcp air rifles and 223 rifles which we can get most
groups touching.
So we know we can shoot wen we have to
Also all scopes are half decent nikon, sidewinders and bushnell
scopes.
Do shouldn't be us
My rifles is sitting in the cabinet costing be 800 quid with
scope and timney trigger would have been better with a 800 quid
gold infused spear.
