which rifle

just joined the site and some advice would be grateful please
;D
im looking to get my first rifle and have applied for my licence
etc but havnt a clue what to buy ???
seen this deal on the mainland but not sure as i will only be
using it for target shooting so whats the cost differance in
ammo from .17 and .22

Which target club do you belong to?
.22 generally cheaper than .17 ammo.
CZ are great rifles.

If it's mostly for targets, .22 would be my choice.As for cost
of ammo..............
.22lr - £4 for 50
.17hmr - £10 for 50
You won't go far wrong with a cz rifle.

Had to find good ammo for the 17 nowadays compared to wen it
first came out. This is why I'm considering changing back to a
22 again for the second time.
Years ago wen I got my first 17 it was amazing but fancied a
change and got a 22 my first 17hmr was amazing shot on shot at
100m all day long then I got another 17hmr this year terrible
compared to my old one thought it was the rifle at start but I
have 4 other friends who have the aswell and none of the are
getting groups that I used to and the all say accuracy varies
from one box of ammo to the next (same brand) I have also found
this.
Still accurate just not as god as it should
22 better all rounder
Better selection of ammo
Cheaper
Quieter
And u can get a semi auto with a 100 drum magazine lol
