CZ455 or Ruger 10/22.

I'll be in the market soon, and looking at these rifles.
Similar price as well. Attracted to the CZ as bolt action more
accurate, but like the idea of the semi auto for followup and
also the fact that its infinitely customisable.
Have been offered both as package deals with scope, tripod and
mod.
In the long term, what would I be better off with?

i have both, but id take the CZ way more accurate so u shouldnt
need a follow up shot ;D tho the ruger you can do pretty much
anything too buying a new barrel for a few hundred quid off ebay
and chucking the standerd triger of the hedge is one of the
first things to do lol, if ue planning alot of plinking ruger is
your bagggin rabbits and targets then cz all day long. ;D best
of luck which ever you choose

I've recently got a 10/22 for lamping with, and I'm pleased
enough with the way it's shooting. Like SB says, triggers are
rubbish, but £35 quid for a Power Custom hammer, improved it no
end. Took a bit of work to get it shooting subsonics reliably,
had to trim a few coils off the recoil spring. And also, you
need to be careful not to let your magazine get dirty or you'll
have problems with it not feeding. But if you put the effort
into sorting it, you'll have a good shooting gun.
If your after something straight forward, go for the CZ.

The ruger is more of a toy compared to the bolt actions save ur
dollar and my a nice weirauch or a anshutz 22 these rifles are
amazballs

Just on this, is it possible to buy the .17 barrel here for the
CZ455 .22, as I understand the barrels are interchangeable
between .17 and .22. The kit includes a 5 shot mag and the
barrel. Only seen it advertised on the .com USA sites. Can
they be sourced in the UK, also what are the FAC implications.

Just waiting on my license coming through so I can go and pick
up my cz455 but still waiting on the FAO to come round. I must
remember to ask them about this as it is something that I could
be interested in doing myself. 2 guns for the price of 1
